Almost a century of perfecting BBQ—and it shows. Every bite tastes like Southern history done right. The pig special is pure joy, the smash burger is a masterpiece, and the brisket plate could bring a tear to your eye. Family-run, flavor-packed, and absolutely worth the detour.
Definitely understand why Guy Fieri hasn't been here, simply doesn't make the cut. Bbq was mediocre and brunswick stew wasn't that good. Definitely not trying it again.
The pig is amazing, but the fries could have been cooked just a tad bit longer for my taste. I could taste the grease and not actually the flavor of the starches of the fry. Just a personal preference, I will be back as they are a close go-to from where I live. Although I really enjoy the original location down town.
