Patrons there said yes they are great.Mains here are top notch.Sides were all just ok to me Cole slaw good not great, Brunswick stew not the best I've ever had also not the worst. Fries were good.Sauce here has a very good flavor profile and the customer service was top notch.Overall I'll be back.
Update: Finchers on Houston Rd. Has a good breakfast menu!! I got a bowl of grits 2 orders of bacon which was 4 nicely cooked slices in each order and a butter biscuit that was so fresh, light & fluffy all for just $12.00. You can't beat it, it's fresh, hot, reasonably priced, if you haven't had it, go and try it, they serve breakfast every day except Monday!!Always good, hot, fresh, and some good folks who work there! Love the food and atmosphere!EDIT: I usually get Finchers for dinner about twice a month I guess, I'll go to the drive through, grab a couple of Super Pigs, big cup of Brunswick stew & fries, always very good but this past Friday I decided to get the barbecue plates with the coleslaw & baked beans and the usual fries and stew. I have to say I did not know how tasty the other sides were, I never get them. All the flavors just melted together, that hint of vinegar and barbecue sauce just made my taste buds go wild, it was absolutely delicious and now I'll be getting those items more often!
Food is always good! We live locally and come here every week or so, I normally get the chicken salad sandwich and it's good every time! My husband normally gets their pulled pork, and my mother-in-law switches it up and tries something different each time. she usually enjoys their food and has only had one complaint: the catfish wasn't very good. Overall this is a great place to eat with very lovely employees. My only issue with this place is that depending on your server, you rarely get checked on after your food is dropped off. Granted, they expect one person to take care of the entire restaurant. Which would be fine if it was one or two tables, but the moment there are 4 or 5 tables you can forget about a refill on your drink.Kid-friendliness: High chair or booster seats provided, has 3 or 4 different kids meal options

In route from Atlanta to Valdosta, we stopped at Fincher's and we were pleasantly surprised. First, the staff and patrons alike were all very friendly. The pulled chicken and sliced brisket were both very good, each served with their own individual, complementary sauces. The bulk of the sides were also quite good. We enjoyed the coleslaw, cheese grits, turnip greens, and BBQ beans. The potato salad wasn't what I expected. It was all mayonnaise, and no mustard. Didn't love that. And while they had at least a half dozen desserts to choose from, we decided on banana pudding, and that was just ok. Unsweet tea was brewed very light, which isn't bad, just not my preference. But again, overall there were far more hits than misses and I would definitely stop in again on a road trip.
CAnnot go wrong here. The owner, Doug, is a great guy will come out and check on everyone and have a conversation with you. How often does that happen anywhere else. The waiting staff is awesome as well. Just plain good friendly service.
