Fried Green Tomatoes Macon

Well I absolutely love this place! BUT…Last night I order door dash. 2 plates both with “baked” pork chop and bbq ribs. I was VERY disappointed! These pork chops were soooo dry and floating in a bed of oil. The ribs, TOUGH! I was so upset. Oh and I also ordered a tomato/cucumber salad that I did not receive. Highly, highly disappointed in last nights meal!! 🤬

I just found out that this place existed almost a month ago. Listen, you hardly find soul food that doesn't have meat in all the vegetables. This place is my go-to! I love a good vegetable plate.

Unfortunately, I have to give them a bad experience today, the food is usually good but today the restaurant was extremely dirty!!! Food was all over the floor and the trash was overflowing..

I used to love this place and still do every now and then. Or I think sometimes I might just be a lil hungry and eat really fast so I don’t notice certain things at times. But when I do notice things, I realized what stuff really was and what it was/could’ve been made of. For example: the peach cobbler I thought was good so I thought to myself I wonder what it’s made of or got in it. Then I got to looking at the breading and realized that it was just cake batter mix out of the box probably poured on top of canned peaches with a little sugar and not baked long enough making it gooey and slimy kinda. The breading was really thick. And what’s in the Mac n cheese? That’s not cheese? That’s got to be some kind of cheap pasta sauce. How is somebody going to not put cheese in Mac n cheese and call it southern cooking? Dosent taste like any cooking I’ve did or tasted my whole life here in the south. I don’t know who they got cooking up there but they need to be fired and ashamed of themselves.

Fried chicken and baked chicken was delicious, greens were good as well. I wouldn’t recommend the desserts they could be way better. But overall there meats and sides are good.

I recently came for breakfast and the breakfast food is just as good as the lunch! I got the hashbrowns with biscuits and gravy and omg! My favorite dish is the beef tips and rice its extremely tender and delicious!
i'm so glad my favorite spot now has breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I can come at any time of the day starting at 7!

The food is not that good!!! they make a few decent sides such as the zucchini, the green beans but the mashed potatoes and gravy was basic, the fried potatoes were overcooked, the fried chicken was overcooked, the smothered pork chops were dry, the lemon cake was nasty tasted more like cinnamon than lemon I was very disappointed especially since this was my first time eating here…
