Georgia bobs on riverside has been going down in customer service over the last few months. Staff typically dressed inappropriately for customer interaction, slow food preparation, overall quality poor. Sitting here 20 plus minutes just to find out they just dropped my chicken order. Poor service. May as well close if your equipment isn't working correctly.

I tried calling in an order but no one answered, so I ordered online. No problem, except I had to wait for them to accept our order. We drove the 20 minutes there and then they accepted our order after having to inquire at the counter. I immediately got a text message that said our order was ready which we knew could not be correct. The staff denied sending it and had no idea who sent it to us. So, we waited an additional 25 minutes to only receive a partial order with some incorrect items. My husband went back to the counter and we had to show them the receipt to prove what we had ordered. We still didn't receive 2 items, so we finally just gave up. The kitchen staff was very rude and the guy at the counter kept apologizing for their behavior. Food quality was not great. Very thin burger without the requested toppings, never received the Carolina bbq sandwich so we have no idea if it was good or not, pulled pork was just ok, fruit cup is literally a fruit cup off a grocery store shelf; Mac and cheese, sweet potato tots, slaw and green beans were also just ok. A nearby table returned half their food to the counter, so apparently they were also having challenges. We were traveling to FL from OH and will not stop again on any future trips. We try to support local vs chain restaurants but we wished we had gone to one of the fast food options.

A sub standard barbecue visit for any state, but a poor quality barbecue especially for a Georgia based smoker. Definitely no need to try this place- don’t let the national awards or television appearance fool you. COLD brisket that was nothing more than sliced pot roast. Fatty mess. No smoke taste or ring. Pork flavorless and smokeless and served less than room temp. Frozen sweet potato tots barely warmed. No ServSafe food temp Che is happening here. And the staff personalities….

Don't eat here. One expects to get good barbecue in Georgia. And one would be disappointed if they went to this place. We ordered a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich and some beans. Pulled pork sandwich was average at best. And the brisket was so fatty as to defy description. Mostly in edible. The beans were good. The barbecue sauce containers haven't been cleaned since the fall of Rome. They are sticky and unpleasant to handle. The whole place is kind of old and beat up. One in edible sandwich for 750 and one average sandwich for 750 is not a good deal

Worst pulled pork ever- just stopped in for a plate to go. If I had already gone back to hotel would have taken back. The pork must have been very old. I did not think meat could get this dry. It crumbled - even wit sauce - it was like cardboard. Quantity was very little as well. It was only like warm and cold. Do not order!! Heard GBBbQ was good - what a disappointment. Had to go back out for dinner.

Stopped by here when I was getting gas on a trip to Savannah and decided to give it a try, glad I did. Only ordered a pulled pork sandwich just to try it, turned out to be a pretty tasty sandwich. People were very friendly. I will stop here again whenever I’m in the area.

If they can’t serve people any faster than one hour at the drive through they need to shut down til they can actually serve their customers. They lock the front doors so you can’t go inside and order, they won’t answer the phone to let you order to go and you can’t order on line .. they make you sit at the drive through for an hour if you want something.

( BEWARE PEOPLE ). First time in a while . Young man taking order was not well trained- . Manager eating with fingers behind counter , Licking them in food prep area , Half rack was 3 ribs & slice fat . Order of wings was un-edible , Another half rack of ribs was burned . Manager is not a people person at all. They leave sauce’s on the table for several days. ( per manager ) So you decide///?Side order of beans was mostly water & only half of small container. ( Beware ) If you arrive to a restaurant and they have no customers there is always a reason !

I was hopeful, but I won't be returning. I ordered in the drive thru. The service was okay. The corn nuggets were good. But the portions on my 3 combination plate were lackluster. My three extra sides of toast were cold, hard, and burned. And the brisket wasn't tasty.

Great BBQ! Brisket, ribs and chicken were very tasty. As we're the fried pickles. And can't forget the pimento cheese sandwich. Service was good and truly a great experience.

D-Licious!!! Visiting Georgia from Colorado and wanted some good southern barbecue. So glad we came here. I had the pulled pork with fried okra and Mac and cheese, all were amazing! Husband and father had smoked sausage and brisket with potato salad and Mac and cheese, no complaints at all. We are pretty picky about potatoe salad, I want their recipe! So yummy!!!! What am I going to do when I am craving delicious BBQ and I'm back in Colorado???? Would you consider a "Colorado Bobs"?

On business in Macon and wanted BBQ. Georgia Bob's was near hotel. I got the combo plate ribs and brisket with baked beans and fries. Ribs and brisket were very tender. Ribs had a good smoke ring and mild smoke flavor but overall flavor was lacking. Did not seem to to have any seasoning on them. The brisket had a dark color on outside but no distinguishing smoke ring. Flavor was bland, again no apparent seasoning. Brisket was very moist, which is not easy, but it tasted more like it was braised or pressure cooked. The baked beans were good with an agreeable maple flavor. Fries were crisp but average. In full disclosure I am an accomplished pitmaster and really understand great BBQ flavors. Unfortunately this was not it.
