Georgia Bob's BBQ - Macon, GA

Worst pulled pork BBQ I have tasted in years. Never tired Georgia Bob’s BBQ and didn’t know anyone who has, so I figured I’d give it a try. Big mistake!! I had the pulled pork plate and it taste like the BBQ from a can. Then they were out okra and fruit cups for the little ones.Came on Monday (Presidents day 2023) at 11:45am and was there til about 12:20pm and they only had 3 other customers come in. Drive thru wasn’t busy either. I do not recommend this place for you tire lovers of real Georgia BBQ… because the can meat is what you’re going to get from here. Also the sauce was very generic as well… nothing special, all seems to be store bought with no home made ingredients. Out of all the places I’ve visited over the years in the south, I’d give this place a 2 out of 10 because I have had worse but this takes a close 2nd!

This place is horrible and disgusting. I come in and there is a middle aged black male with glasses. Didn't even speak just stood there looking at me. The floor was sticky and I went early. Why is the floor sticky? Why is the trash bins full? Why my tray had dried up barbecue on it? These people are trifling.

Floors were sticky, table and chairs were dirty, and it seemed like nothing was clean since the health inspector came! I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was dry af. I typically don’t check reviews when going to new restaurants but this experience has changed me and I will be checking reviews more often. Customer service was ok but nothing to write home about. 0/10 would not come here again

The barbe que had a vinegary taste all the way through. The sauces were vinegary and very thin. The chip barbeque was served in big clumpy, chucks,tasteless. Chip bbq ought to be served shredded. The beans were mashed. I did not enjoy my meal.The light bread cheap.

The food was great, but it took a while to come out. My fries were cold when I finally got my food.

Sincerely probably the worse bbq I have ever tasted in my life. Picture boiled meat that tastes rotten. Maybe cooked weeks ago and froze it until today? Im in shock anyone here had one single thing good to say

I Ordered a BBQ plate first time for me eating there. I will never go back. That is a sad excuse for a BBQ plate I ever seen. And it taste dry and bland. I will stick with Fresh Air BBQ and old Clinton BBQ. At least they know how to fix a good plate

My wife and I have enjoyed Georgia Bob’s at a number of different locations and decided to try this location expecting the same service and quality/quantity. Was I sorely disappointed.The cashier was like a robot. No friendly acknowledgment that I was even standing in front of him. I was the one that had to initiate a thank you with sarcasm so he would understand what customer appreciation actually means. Home training or work environment training? I don’t know.I ordered sliced brisket sandwich and my wife had the chicken salad sandwich. She specifically asked for toasted bread and of course it wasn’t. The sliced brisket was 2 little pieces of meat similar to the size of the bacon on a McDonald’s breakfast biscuit for $7.29!! And we definitely didn’t send it back for obvious reasons!The first table we selected was filthy so we searched for a cleaner one. The plastic bottles of BBQ sauces were all almost empty. I had to search different tables to find enough to cover those 2 little pieces of meat. The French fries were not fresh and must have been sitting for awhile. There was no one else in the restaurant so of course they called out my name and I walked back up to the counter for the tray. What service! So for about $12 a person it was very unsatisfactory and I’ll definitely not be back to this location. To add to this the receipt actually spelled out the “Suggested tip”. Yea, Right!!Should have gone to Firehouse Subs, my first choice, but decided to help a small business. So much for that decision!

Wings are the best I’ve ever eaten. The Brunswick stew and baked beans were delish. The banana pudding was great.Very pleasant friendly cashier.I was here at 4p on a Saturday and the food was all hot. Cooked to order I’m sure.I will be dining here many times in the future!I tipped 5$ (40%!) and I was at the drive thru!as I was so pleased with everything

Bbq was very good. Wife had pork sandwich and I had pork plate. You add your chosen sauce at your table. We are not fond of most Ga Bbq, do you not like vinager. Large portions.

Worst food ever! No smell of bbq anywhere: outside or inside restaurant. Cold super dried food. Pulled pork sandwich few crumbles of very dried meat!!!!other person in my party got the most gummiest hard ribs ever with no meat on them!! And they came each cut in 4 pieces of ribs close to the bone! Kids got salad and hamburger! Oooold salad with 2 slices of cucumber and 2 tomatoe grapes! Big stalks of salad! Old bad lettuce in it! Cheeseburger most likely a week old! $ 59 of waist time and food! Floors super dirty tables sticky! We just stoped coming back from florida. Never ever again ( we normally check a new restaurant reviews but this time gps confused us and we just went in this bbq joke place to it without to even google it before) . We never give reviews but this place is just beyond any imagination!

I took the ribs home for dogs and remains of joke salad for hamsters! Never had this experience! I soooo wanted to go ask for different ribs and tell them that is not real! But my husband does not want ever get in a “ scandal” . Hospital food is better than this!

Best barbecue in middle Georgia. And our favorite chicken salad. Keep plenty when family is in town.

A sub standard barbecue visit for any state, but a poor quality barbecue especially for a Georgia based smoker. Definitely no need to try this place- don’t let the national awards or television appearance fool you. COLD brisket that was nothing more than sliced pot roast. Fatty mess. No smoke taste or ring. Pork flavorless and smokeless and served less than room temp. Frozen sweet potato tots barely warmed. No ServSafe food temp Che is happening here. And the staff personalities….

Worst pulled pork ever did not know meat could be this dry and served cold to like warm. What a waste. Got a pulled plate pork it to go and back to hotel before opening box. Just could not eat it was so dry. Had to back out to grap supper.
