The staff was so Friendly!! Especially our waitress who had red braids. She gave our dog bacon as we were waiting. The biscuits were AMAZING & my mom and I actually ordered 2 more. Very much would recommend and come back next time in Macon.

I’m not a fan of squash but their squash casserole is the absolute best I’ve ever had!!! Their country fried steak is massive and delicious, too!!!

We’ve eaten in quite a few meat and three restaurants in the south in the past year and H and H ranked at the top. I had fried chicken that was cooked to perfection, along with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and collard greens. The collard greens were off the hook delicious. The staff couldn’t have been nicer as well, and I mean all of them and the price is so reasonable. Treat yourself to a meal here, you won’t regret it.

We ordered the brisket breakfast sandwich and the brisket was literally inedible! Everything else was fine. The staff was friendly and the Allman Brothers Band theme decor was very cool and nostalgic. It's a great piece of Macon history, but the brisket was burnt, tough and fatty!
Would’ve given them one star, but the customer service was super great. The food, not great at all. I ordered the brisket hash breakfast that came with only one fried green tomato, a biscuit & two eggs. The portion was sized for a kiddie meal. I ordered eggs over medium & they were pretty much fried hard & The brisket looked like bacon bits due to how small they were chopped up. I should’ve just went to the waffle house. Im scared to come back here for dinner, but the pictures do look like they serve a better dinner. However, the brisket hash breakfast, I wouldn’t recommend at all!Update.. 2/21/24Came for dinner menu.. Order beef tips over rice, fried chicken, green beans, & fried okra. The beef tips over rice were ok. I just had to add salt & pepper, but they were very tender & mouth watering. The chicken on the other hand was HORRIBLE. Fried too hard or refried from the night before…the young lady said the dark meat was a leg & thigh, but I recieved two little chicklet thighs I guess.. No meat, mostly over cooked skin. The fried okra & green beans were good too. The Chicken though, waste of my time. And i only added the chicken because there’s a sign hanging stating their chicken is the BEST! I think NOT!! So again, I cant give one star, because everything else was ok or good…

I’m currently watching a documentary about rock roadies and this place was mentioned . Long story short I uprooted from my small home town in West Virginia and moved 9 hours from my family to Macon, GA. As a musician , it didn’t take long to hear stories about the Allman Brothers and H&H restaurant. I found myself alone in H&H one day and brought to tears because the food tasted like Mamaw was back there cooking for the entire family . I have since moved away and have fond memories of H&H, S & S cafeteria , and the hummingbird . All great places . Love the food !
