This was my first time at Harp and Bowl since the new ownership. I was so pleased with my experience and I had the best smoothie I’ve had out at any establishment! Employees were friendly and knowledgeable. It’s going to be hard not to go back for a smoothie every day!

I was truly disappointed today. My Husband and I decided to try Harp & Bowl LA Bistro. The cashier greeted us upon arriving inside.We approached the counter to view the menus on the wall but due to the small words we decided to take a look at the menu books beside the register.My husband ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich combo and I ordered a Veggie burger and added a vegan lentil soup.after placing the order the cashier asked if we would like to Dine in or take out. I said “Dine In” . We proceeded to find a table and wait for our food.There was a couple behind us that ordered a veggie burger on a croissant and some other stuff.I was looking around admiring the small cute little shop and watching the staff fill all the customers orders.I could tell the staff was really confused and running all over the place but it was fine because I know the hustle and bustle of running a restaurant and being short staff during lunch.The cashier comes to the dining area to give the couple that placed their order after us their food.The couple leaves and then comes back because their order was completely wrong. I seen the ladies in the back talking about the orders.The lady then brings us our order in a togo plate and bag . Now I’m frustrated because I know I said “Dine In”.I open my Togo plate and is only half of a sand which with cheese and I didn’t order my sandwich like that because I’m vegan.I asked about my soup. She proceeded to the back come back with the soup and it was cold.I asked her “I thought I ordered a full sandwich and do the soup suppose to be cold.? “She had a blank look on her face and was like yes the sandwich is a half sandwich. I’m thinking like impossible because the sandwich alone almost 9 to 10 dollars .I decided to return the soup for a refund . I’m guessing the lady that asked if I would like for them to reheat my soup was the owner. I said no thank you just a refund.This Caucasian guy stood up and walked to the register blurting out loud “ Well if you serve my soup cold. I’ll just go home and warm it up”The owner smiles and they start talking because the guy stated he was a regular which had nothing to do with us . I just wanted warm soup and a great dining experience.But the moral of the story. I was disappointed in the disorganization and the mix up with the orders and didn’t take any ownership for the mix up in my sandwich and the other couple .We spent almost $40 for one full chicken salad sandwich, chips , 2 Lipton bottled tea , half veggie burger and small cup of cold soup.The food was pretty good but I hope they get it together.

One of my favorite spots in Macon! The food Is amazingly tasty and the staff are always friendly. Cole who works on sandwiches always does a GREAT job and is very knowledgeable about the menu. The veggie burger, meal replacement and vegan lentil soup are some of my favorites. They have freshly made juices and a selection of health foods you can't find anywhere else that are super yummy. I had the super shot and squash/sweet potato bisque earlier this week and it was delicious! They're a small business which I love, but they pack a punch. I can't wait to go back next week. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!
