So glad I chose this place for dinner. I'm in town for business and wanted something different than what everyone else on our team was having. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the best Jamaican food I've ever had. The seasoning! I had the jerk chicken combo with collards and rasta pasta. Great combination of food if I do say so myself, lol. Absolutely delicious!

The food is great here once you get pass the cashier. The customer service of this place has gotten down. I tried to visit today and the quality of service ruined my appetite. The gentlemen are respectful and pleasant.However, The young lady maybe was having a bad day which is understandable but a customer should not have to be burden by negative energy.
I will visit again and hopes to experience a pleasant employee.

The chick at the counter is disgusting but the food and the young man in the back were great! But unfortunately due to how the nasty lady is who you are first greeted by and that interaction is horrible I wouldnāt return!

I went and got an oxtail plate, when I started eating I noticed it wasn't all oxtails it was mixed with a different cut of meat so I went back and they said it's all oxtails which it wasn't I cook so I know the difference. Look at the pictures one is oxtails and the other looks like beef neck bones that have a similar taste to oxtails.
I stopped eating the oxtails because they were really tough every time so I would order the veggie plate with double mac & cheese because it was really good, rice and peas, for $7. Now the same plate is $13 and the Mac & cheese is horrible. Maybe change of cooks but Iām done with this restaurantā¦Island Pot, Pio Nono here I comeā¦.

Food is fantastic!!, However the woman at the counter is quite rude and a bit racist.. my first trip there she sat on her phone the entire time while I was giving my order and she would roll her eyes and talk to me like Iām stupid ā¦ I figured oh well maybe sheās having a bad day .. next time I come in I see her smiling and being pleasant to the people before me in line and once again treats me like Iām just complete garbageā¦ The only conclusion I could see is perhaps she doesnāt like or respect white people .. even though I tried to be as respectful and nice as I could āyes maāamā āno maāamā āhow are you today!ā āHave a great day!ā .. even though the food is great and close to where I live I will continue to go to island pot where I am treated with respect by hard working people with smiles on their facesI would like to add that is not a review on the food itself not the staff in the kitchen.. just of the woman they have at the counter.

Had the escovitch red snapper with collard greens and Mac.... BUSSIN! Red snapper was cooked perfectly. Collard greens were seasoned well. Mac and cheese had a good texture. I will be back when I'm in the area!
