Folksy downhome cooking as we say around here. The food is typical of southern style food. You get a choice of a meat and two vegetables. This place is busy at lunchtime time as all of the local pour in to eat. Food is served hot and quickly.If you want something quick to eat and you don't want your typical fast food hamburger place, this Macon institution might be your ticket.

Friendly staff, down home country style atmosphere, southern food. We were traveling through town to Atlanta and I was looking for some good ole southern cooking. Unfortunately, the butter beans were canned beans warmed up. The mac n cheese was a miss for my 13 year old who couldn't even finish it. The okra was fabulous and I didn't mind the tomato gravy but it would be good to know that is how they serve it for visitors. I'm pretty sure the mashed potatoes were boxed/powder potatoes. Unfortunately, all the way through dessert it was less stellar than we expected and had hoped for.
