The food was wonderful, we were happy with it and our guests had nothing but great things to say as well. Additionally, there was no shortage of any of the food options. The staff was professional, kind, and helpful from prior communication to the actual event. I definitely would recommend and use them again for events in the future.

I got so many compliments on the food at my wedding. The only thing that keeps me from rating 5 star is 1 incident that really ruined my mood for a second. I was in the middle of having a sentimental moment with my new uncle and Gibran came up to him and asked him to sit down. I was sooooo confused. I didn't know the caterer was also serving as a bodyguard. It ruined the moment me and my new uncle were having and it upset the both of us. I understand Gibran was probably just trying to make sure I had a chance to eat, but I deliberately did not include a lot in my wedding timeline so I could have more time to mingle with my guests. I feel like unless I asked him to do that, he should have just served food and stayed in his lane. Gibran has been so nice every time I have spoken with him so I was shocked at the audacity and rudeness. But again, this was 1 thing that happened that doesn't change the fact that his food was amazing and everyone loved the food. I think his intention was in the right place but he should've checked in with me first before doing this.

Kobi catering exceeded my expectations! The food was so good at my wedding reception! We had a cocktail hour and dinner. My guests are still talking about how great the food was. We had beef tips and salmon on the menu. The beef tips were so tender and delicious and the salmon was very well seasoned! Professionalism was top tier. Please book this company and you won’t be disappointed! This is my second time booking this caterer as well.

Truly we were amazed at just how tasty the food was. I wasn’t sure my elderly senior residents were going to like it, however, I’ve gotten nothing but GREAT feed back from them! They said that they normally have to use salt and pepper to season their food, but not this time. They said that the beef tips were very tender as well. A Huge shout out to Kobi Catering! Gibran worked with us throughout the whole process and displayed patience, timely responses, and great customer service. Our event numbers fluctuated a bit, and there was no hesitation to working with us regarding the amount. The menu was customizable and had so many options. The day of their team showed up, set everything up, served, and cleaned up so easily. On top of everything, the food was incredible. Our workforce was so impressed with everything. I attended a wedding last year catered by Gibran Stephens dba Kobi Catering. The Honey Roasted Chicken was to die for so when my daughter got engaged we knew who we wanted to cater the wedding reception. Gibran and his staff did not disappoint! The chicken was just as good as I remembered and everything went according to plan. Gibran is prompt to respond to any questions and followed through with a close-to-last-minute request to provide the tablecloths due to the reception hall having a different table size than we had originally planned for. Gibran offers a wide variety of menu options for every possible occasion and does what he says he will. We had to meet up a few times and he was always prompt and prepared. Gibran is very easy to work with and very highly recommended!! Thank you, Kobi Catering, for a job well done!!

I have to give Kobi 5 stars only because there are not more stars to give! I have a unique perspective with this company, as not only have I worked with them as they cater weddings in my place of work, but I also used them for my own wedding. I loved their cooking that much!! I only wished I took time to take pictures of the plates as I went, but I was too busy chowing down. Once my wedding photographer gets back with me, I will absolutely update with pictures as I want others to experience what this company has to offer! Calling it Soul Food somehow isn't enough, because it's food made with soul, love, and pure talent. Gibran and his team are wonderful people who pour their love and hospitality into their work, and I cannot recommend them enough, both as a caterer and having shared a kitchen with them.
The dishes I personally could not recommend enough included the roast beef with mashed potatoes, the baked chicken, greens, and Mac and cheese. My now husband says the Mac was his all time favorite as it reminded him the most of his grandmother's growing up. The roast beef was my favorite and it paired perfectly with the cheesy mashed potatoes in a way that brought a tear to my eye. Usually when you hear 'baked chicken,' you might conjure the image of something bland and boneless. That is the polar opposite of the fall-off-the-bone, flavorful, lightly spicy, juicy chicken legs and thighs served here. I maaaay have gotten thirds and fourths of everything despite the corset gown I was stuffed into. They also provide their own disposable dishware which makes cleanup easy on all involved! If you're needing catering for any wedding, get together, special dinner, party, what have you, PLEASE give them a try. If you love southern cooking with soul, you *have* to give Kobi a try!!!

Generally, I hesitate to write negative reviews unless I genuinely feel there is value in doing so. This is one of those occasions as there is little opportunity to truly know much about a catering experience unless reviews are provided. I hired Kobi Catering to cater my niece's wedding reception - approx. 75 ppl initially and increased to 88 as the final count. I contracted the event and paid the deposit six months in advance based on reviewing the photo examples of catering from the website, Facebook, and reading online reviews. Initially, there were a number of issues with getting the initial contract finalized, including conflicts between stated costs during phone conversations and the submitted contracts. This should have been my first indication of potential concern, but communications were always amicable, so I ignored my instincts. Fast forward to event day, the catering team on site was VERY nice. They served guests politely and were respectful of the venue. It was not until the event was underway that I noticed several concerns with the quality of the brunch items presented. Many of the items were not freshly prepared but seemed to be bulk frozen or bulk purchased items (i.e., frozen mini waffles, bulk-purchased mini-cinnamon rolls, and fish that did not match our prearranged request). Following the event, the bride and groom shared their disappointment that the food indicating that it was cold, "tasteless," and several other food items were presented at room temperature. In addition to similar complaints from guests, there were multiple complaints about the omelet station as well. Overall, the quality of the food presented did not mirror the online photos, nor did it match expectations from my pre-contract discussions. I was offered and accepted a marginal refund of the overall catering costs, but unfortunately, a small refund cannot replace the bride and groom's experience. I would not recommend Kobi Catering for discerning clients, nor would I contract their services for future events.
