I had not had eaten at a Long John Silver's establishment since I was a child so I was really excited to try this place out. I didn't know that there was a location in Macon or that the chain still existed. I was passing through and notice the sign so of course I stopped. It was late in the evening and area itself seemed pretty sketchy. I walked into the restuarant and it didn't look the cleanest upon entering. The floor was sticky and the condiment area was dirty....
The food was good. Its been more than a month since I first seen the "grilled items coming soon" sign and they still don't have the items..that was disappointing. When will they ever arrive??
Almost nostalgic now to me, sometimes I stop just for the taste. For whatever reason, it may take a long time to get the food. Its still greasy, you can see it on the cruchies, no doubt. This is not healthy eating, its a comfort food that tastes the same for decades now. For the overly breaded shrimp, there's good slaw and hush puppies to make up for it.
