**Review for Marie’s Lounge, Macon, GA**
I recently visited Marie’s Lounge to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, my guests and my experience was far from what I had hoped for. Despite making a paid reservation at least three weeks in advance, the service we received was incredibly disappointing.
We were seated for almost an hour before anyone even brought us menus, let alone took our orders. When we finally decided to order drinks, the service was so slow that we had to take turns going to the bar, which interrupted my time spending celebrating with my guests. This led to a very frustrating atmosphere, and I ended up crying from the disappointment of the entire evening.
We learned that there were only two servers covering the entire floor, while also managing multiple reserved parties, each with a minimum of 15 people. It’s clear that the staff was overwhelmed, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of attention to our group, especially considering the reservation was made in advance.
The drinks were underwhelming, and the food was mediocre at best. While we might have overlooked these issues if we had received decent service, the entire experience felt lackluster. We could have easily stayed home for a better time.
From the moment we walked in until we left, it was a frustrating experience. Even when we addressed our concerns, the response was simply, “it’s just how it is,” which felt dismissive. Our hopes for a memorable birthday celebration were dashed, and we didn’t even receive the drinks that were promised as part of our reservation after repeatedly asking for them.
Overall, Marie’s Lounge dropped the ball logistically, resulting in a ruined birthday and wasted money. I cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

This is the third time I have visited around 12am. Before arriving to the business asking what time does the kitchen closes. I always get told 1am. Upon arrival around 12:15am or 12:20am. I am told the kitchen closes due to crowd. Why tell someone kitchen closes at a certain time and does not. Regardless of a crowd or not. This should be unacceptable. Especially when a call is made to the business before coming asking for confirmation.

We went to grab a bite to eat. When we entered the parking lot their were 2 gentlemen standing outside. Once we opened the car door to get out the gentlemen nicely replied their closed and they put us out. This was a little after 11pm on a Sunday night. So wtbs didn't get a chance to eat.

My husband and I found this place to celebrate my birthday and I must say that everything was amazing. From the food to the drinks to the service. We don’t go out often but when we do it’s always good to go to a place that has top tier service where the food tastes amazing. We will be back again!

The food and drinks are amazing. My only complaint is that the music is so loud you can barely hear the people you are sitting with if it's a bigger party. The music selection is great, though.

This was my first experience and I’m not satisfied. There is no reason my food should have come before my drinks. Most people want to drink before they eat. The menu said fried chicken and and French toast and I’m expecting fried chicken cooked in flour but I get naked wings. Then the waitress lied to us about us not having to pay gratuity with only 3 people at a table not thinking that we was going to look at our receipt, we give a tip to find out that we gave an extra tip including the 18% gratuity. Whole experience I’m not going to say horrible, but definitely a disappointment.
