I will never patronize this particular franchise again.I should have picked up the clue that it is usually empty while the other establishments in close proximity seem to be thriving, now I know why…

I usually go to a different location. However, my niece was here from out of town. First thing she said when we met up was, "I want NuWay for lunch. I wish they would put one up where I live." So we went. The Bloomfield location was in need of help, so we went to the Mercer Village location.I have never been to a NuWay this clean. We placed our order, chose a seat, and then got our drinks. The cups and ice come from behind the counter. Tea is also behind the counter.Sort drinks are at a self service machine with Coke products. Sadly, Coke Zero was not there. I chose Diet Coke. The kiosk switched screens, an provided flavoring options. WHAT MAGIC IS THIS? Lemon, cherry, vanilla. I had diet coke with cherry/vanilla. SO GOOD. By the time I finished with the witchcraft of the drink machine, our order was ready. Combo #2 for both of us. It is a choice of two hot dogs or hamburgers, or one each. It comes with fries and a drink. While I had chili dogs all the way, my niece had two chili burgers all the way. I could see the melted cheese coming out of the side of the burger. Delicious looking! When she had her first bite, I could see the twinkle in her eyes. As soon as she made the first swallow, she said, "God. I miss these."So, if you are near Mercer University and are even a little bit famished, I STRONGLY encourage you to eat here. It is truly a delight.

The food tasted like it was cooked eight days ago. The food was bad, but the customer service was even worse. I promise you you’ll get a better hot dog at Qlik Trip. Skip this place and just keep going.
Great..don't listen to other people lol
My husband and I stopped in without knowing the history or what they are famous for. We split a #2 which was 2 dogs, fries and soda. I asked if there were onions and thought she said yes, but no. So I guess I didn't know they were "chili" dogs. Not that what was topping it was chili, Id call it a fine chopped spiced meat... but I did get some onions from the young lady. The dog was very red, I've never seen that before.I wouldn't return for the dogs but I loved the history and the old sign and memorabilia. 5 stars for that.

This particular location is always available for fast ordering and service. Not ever crowded but I know it gets good business as being on a college campus. Most favorite hot dog place ever

First of all this location no longer does chocolate malts. Second, they were not putting the reciepts on the bags so they were just handing people the wrong food. They had to Remake our food because we caught the mistake of them giving us someone's else's. After got home they still made the hot dogs wrong. Won't be back to this location.
You can't go wrong with Nu-way. Been doing Hot Dogs for a very long time. Macon is quite proud!

Food was great.. However the tea was sour... So i guve it a 3..
I've been eating Nu way for 40 years and I never get tired of them or forget them when I visit Macon.
Very disappointed. First time I've tried Nu-Way. Probably the last. Ordered a scrambled dog and fries. Only cost $9, which is great these days to find anything under $10. Too bad it was awful. They burnt my bun so bad it was completely black. It made the entire plate of food taste like burnt bread. Can't understand why they would just toast another bun, rather then try to cover it up with Chili. Literally, makes no sense. How much is a single bun? $.25 to $.30 and maybe 30 seconds to toast it. You would rather lose a customer than make their food right. That's really sad.
Nice Spot in Mercer Village! Very Clean! Food was excellent!
