Delicious food every time we have been here!

The food is much bigger than the outside appearance. The catfish sandwich has just the right amount of crispy. The blackened tilapia is very good. Get the baked potato and fried tomatoes as sides. The wings are tiny but plentiful. Also try the buffalo fried shrimp. Great flavor. A nice spot for the locals; the service is with a kind smile.

I ordered the pick two. I had he catfish filet and the fried shrimp. The catfish wasn't fried nearly hard enough and it was greasy, but that is the least of my concern. When I got to the bottom of the plate there was 2 pieces of hair. I couldn't finish my meal because I was so disgusted. There should be some kind of hairnets and/or beard guards worn. Will not be returning back to this location .

Polly's Corner Cafe is a wonderful place for casual, inexpensive dining. I got the fried oysters. They were awesome.

We used to like to stop here on our way to Florida. This time things were different. We were traveling with small children and asked for a booth. The waitress was seating us and then the manager, or someone, told her we could not sit there. We were then seated at a very small and crowded square table. We then ordered our food. Burgers all around. Two asked to sub Fries for onion rings. Waitress said no problem. Came back a few minutes later and said she was told there would be an upcharge of $2 per person. A basket of onion rings is only $4.75. When the plates came, there were 3 pieces of onion rings on the plate. Burgers were not like they used to be. Tasted like meatloaf. Kids wouldn't even eat them. Waitress was sweet. I asked it there was new management, and evidently Polly sold the place. Too bad. We won't be stopping by again.

I normally love coming here when o am in town but this visit was the worst. They give you good portions. The shrimp dinner comes with a decent amount for the price. Tonight our onion rings were cooked with burnt oil. When we mentioned it to our waitress and asked if they were going to replace them she told us that she did not think the manager wanted to give us more. Hmmm. When the food came the hush puppies were raw and we had to send them back and the fries were soggy. I will try them again. This is not the norm here.

My husband and I enjoyed the food but the place was kinda of dirty and in desperate need of remodeling. It was already bad enough the dining area had nasty, old carpet. The waitresses have the nerve to wipe the trash on the floor. It was a disgusting experience to eat with trash under my table. By the time my husband and I was eating our dinner, I realized their was soiled napkins and crumbs underneath our table. So gross!

Had always read/heard great things about this restaurant and finally decided to try it tonight. Upon arrival, our waitress let us know that the grill was broken and whatever we ordered had to be fried, unless we wanted to wait 2 hours for the grill to be fixed. Disappointed, because we went there for steak. Reluctantly stayed and ordered. I got shrimp (fried, since we were told that was the only option available, I would normally order blackened), salad and a baked potato. Husband ordered catfish. Salad arrived on a plastic plate with a notch on the side to hold a wine glass? Weird. I asked waitress if I could change my side from a baked potato to something else when she collected the salad plate and before food came out, and she said no, it was too late? 🤨 Rude. Food came, shrimp were just meh. Overcooked and chewy. Baked potato was cold. Husband's dinner was passable. Hot at least. After eating and waiting on our check, overheard next table order blackened shrimp. Imagine my surprise when their waitress said "no problem!" When our waitress returned with our charge card I asked her if I could have ordered something blackened, and she shrugged "yeah". Told her that she said it had to be fried and I would have ordered differently if not told incorrectly. She just walked off. Never, ever again. Too bad, we prefer to support small local businesses, but not this one.

Noticed this restaurant out of the corner of my eye as we exited Macon bypass exit #9. Was going to turn left for another restaurant, but decided to check this out. GLAD I did! Didn't look like much from outside, inside was passable, food is OUTSTANDING!!! We will make this our lunch destination every time we travel the Macon bypass North or South.

Quick stop on our road trip to Florida. I wanted a homecooked meal on the go and decided to come here after finding it on Yelp. It wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night. Seated ourselves. The waiter was okay. She recommended the red snapper special which could be grilled or fried including 2 sides. I had the combination tilapia and sautéed shrimp. Side salad was premade... lettuce, one red onion slice, saltines, a side of cheese and ranch dressing. The food was subpar, not very well seasoned nor was it hot once it arrived. The hush puppies were over fried and greasy. $30 bill for two meals. This place was a miss for me. I don't plan on returning.

Decided to eat here for Valentine's Day, but that was a big mistake! The catfish were very greasy, hushpuppies were too sweet, and the service was terrible. We were without tea for most of our meal; asked for more tea twice, but our server did not bring more tea until after we were done eating. Her excuse was they were busy, but only 4 tables were occupied and one of those 4 was our table. You would think they would have people waiting for a table on Valentines Day, but 3/4 of the tables were empty. I think the lack of customers is due to the poor quality of the food and service! We usually do not eat at Polly's, and only went there because Snellgroves is not open on Wednesday night. We will never make that mistake again! If we coud give 0 stars, that is what this review would get!

Cool little spot. Fried shrimp is awesome. Classic home town restaurant spot. Worth a visit.

You can't go wrong with their fried shrimp lunch special. Delicious sweet shrimp, hush puppies are great, and yummy sweet potato fries. Served in real plates, not styrofoam anymore ! I think they have new owners. Give them a try.
