A true gem we drive miles out of 2ay to stop here. I heard there was a fire and it closed. I hope it opens again, we’ve been going and enjoying there food for decades and generations.

Food is banging. Like my momma in a moomoo, making homemade cornbread in a cast iron skillet with the bacon grease from the mason jar on a Sunday morning. Mmmmmmmmmmm,etc ........

It is hard to give this place a 1 star. Waitress and check out cashier awesome-5 stars! Food horrible. In Macon to get out of Hurricane Debby’s path. No longer a s and s in hometown. Went there to get pecan pie and they did not have any. Nice guy on serving line went to check the back and the bakery but they did not have any. Peach cobbler horrible. Salsbury steak, roast beef, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese were less than desirable. Even the cornbread was dry. Inside is very worn and in need of remodel. I used to love this place but this visit made us decide never again.

Whenever I'm in Macon for anything, I always try and plan a lunch visit to S&S. I love the liver and onions. Great food, and terrific service.
