Downtown for a meeting and had to get something for lunch and Satterfields came up. A fair bit to like, the setting gives you that old school BBQ feel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food came fairly quickly. My Associate got the brisket and he said it was excellent. I got the pork and the flavor was good but it seemed to be machine chopped. It was a bit too fine for my taste. So, I would give it a 7. Now the Brunswick stew was a surprise and it was some of the best I've had. Clearly put together with care. Now the one negative point, everything is ala carte and honestly to get what would normally be a $15-$18 meal, you could easily spend $25 or more per person. The portion size on the meats was not overly generous for the price. Good but I suspect they count on the folks that have been going there for years for business.

Just here today 7.23.25. The Brisket was very tender juicy with a great smoke to it. My favorite was the sliced turkey breast though. I will be back and may even remember to take pictures next time

Stopped in for lunch and had the brisket with a bun, slaw, and pulled pork salad. The BBQ is top notch and the service exceptional. Excellent stop right off the interstate.

A wonderful, welcome surprise. We stopped in for a taste test of Macon area BBQ. The food and atmosphere are legit, classic Southern style BBQ. Two couples, shared two, two meat sampler plates. It was a perfect light lunch for us, on the road.
