Shogun Japanese Restaurant

Couple weekends ago it was my dad birthday and we went out to try shogun. Very disappointed with just about everything. Took very long to get service and I did notice he restaurant was very busy and only it looks like one or two servers. after a while a guy with short hair said something but could not hear him… and still after that we finally got service. Then after I got up to ask the bartender something I see which looks like the managers or the bosses on their phones which very much explains the poor management!! All the food came out very late and even the appetizers? Im not expert in restaurants but I believe the appetizers are supposed to come before the meal but they came at the exact same time?? No one sang the happy birthday special for my dad? I can hear the chaotic kitchen? It seems like just terrible management and the gray hair guy that sits in the corner and the other lady with brownish hair to get off their phone and help mange the place or something because it wasn’t enjoyable or pleasant at all!!!!! Do not recommend unless they’ve fixed their management!

BAD SERVICE BAD FOOD DO NOT GO HERE

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE STARVING!! Me and my friends came here and waited over 40 minutes for a waiter to come over and ask us about drinks. Afterwards, we waited an additional 30 minutes for mediocre food. My friend who ordered the Chicken Karaage received more batter than chicken…do not recommend. The sushi and sashimi was fine, however, despite it all being cold it took even longer than the kitchen entrees. Like I stated in the beginning, I do not recommend going here if you want food that’s ACTUALLY worth it.

Great food best jap house in Macon, but they need some remodeling/cleaning. The air vents got 3” of dust hanging out the front strubs are over grown the parking lot looks like it’s seen better days a just needs little work. The floors is sticky. It’s time to close it down and either re model or re build.

Typical hibachi setup. Grills and regular seating. However the food was awful. How did they mess up fried rice I will never understand. The sushi was mediocre, at best. I heard so much good and definitely wasn’t enjoyable for us.

Heading down from Atlanta this is the only decent spot. Nothing compared to Atlanta or North of Atlanta but definitely better than food in Locust Grove or any place in between. Location is nice.
The hibachi was nothing spectacular though. Sushi was decent. Service is slow. I’ve been told Only male staff as servers which is a bit strange. The host was female though.

the foodis really tasty servant is very friendly. however it is really dirty. The male sushi chef rubbed his noses a few times in between make sushi. we found hair in the sushi boat not belong either of the chef look like from the meals before ！ there are old wasabi dry and stains on the boat there were other stains too. I was really hungry. but it is really nasty and dirty. will not come back！

I waited 50 minutes for a table which for a good restaurant that is normal but after sitting at a table for 35 minutes with no service not even a drink order I just got up and left worst experience I have had would not recommend

This is a go to sushi spot for us we go all the time, however I walked in tonight at 8:45 and they said they were closed. The sign on the windows said 9:30 for closing and so does Google. I walked in and the host said they close at 9…. Other than that, the food and sushi is really good. I would give 5 stars to food. Just truthfully upset that they have it posted for closing times in two places and still turned away at least two very small parties of people coming in.

We dined here on a Tuesday evening. The service was decent, the food was nothing to write home about, but what really earned them the 3 stars was the oversight of cleanliness of the entire restaurant. From the bathrooms, tables and chairs, to highchairs the entire restaurant was greasy and sticky.

Augustin brought us the best food, we were so satisfied,we will come back
