I went to Shogun on yesterday with my sister we sat at the Hibachi table table where the guy cooking the food dropped a shrimp on the floor and picked it up and placed it on the grill with the rest of the food. We said something to our waiter who then said something to the manager. The manager came and said he will fix you all some more shrimp didn’t apologize on top of when she asked the guy did he do it he didn’t deny it. To top it off after he finished our food he still finished cooking the shrimp and put them in the bowl. Everyone that was at our table asked for togo boxes and left. I will not eat there again.

Simply one of the best places I've ever been to. I've been going since I was a child and everyone is so nice. The food is always the best and the hibachi and Japanese ambiance is always impressive. Definitely go if you want to spend some time either for a nice dinner or just eating sushi.

My 2nd time hereOn both occasions had to sprint to the bathroom within 15 minutes of finishing my meal - “ Sprint “ As fast as I can , Not one second to spareThe staff is friendly & niceThe guy cooking was funny & put on a showEverything was pretty good“ BUT ABOUT 15 MIN AFTER U LEAVE “You better be near a toilet !The 1st time I thought maybe it was something else because the breakdown happen so fast.The 2nd time I knew I made a very bad mistake for going back.Something used in the process dosent agree with me

My family's food was great however the person next to us got their food overcooked.The service was good and it didn't take too long to get seated. A thing to consider is they don't speak much English there so you need to speak clearly. The interior I'd give 4 stars. There were lots of decorations and the lighting was good. 4 stars! I would consider this place but there is probably better options.

Unfortunately the wait was more than 2hrs, shortage of staff was the reason after asking. My husband enjoyed his meal plenty to take home. ?Maybe a better experience next time.

Horrible service. Only 2 cooks, waited 45 mins after a seat at the hibachi table.
We went to shogun tonight it has always been my favorite place in town. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and our food as we knew walking in what we wanted. We got the salads and then waited for our food. The bartender seemed quite lost and slow. The person I was with order 2 sushi rolls and I got chicken fried rice dinner. The sushi rolls came out about 20 minutes after our salads. Over an hour later I still had not gotten my food. The bartender came and asked my dining partner if he would like a refill and never acknowledged my empty drink. The people next to us that ordered 20 minutes after us both got their food. I was still without my dinner. The employee never once spoke to me, went to check on my food or filled my drink. I finally went to ask someone for help. After an hour and a half the person I was with was finished eating and they finally brought my food which I put in a to go box...also the portion was about half the normal portion. It took us 30 more minutes to get her attention to pay. Still there was no acknowledgement or anything. I have always loved shogun but after tonight I don't know that I would go back.

Cute little get away tucked away on a hill in Macon. Service was great, funny and friendly. Our server's name was Sergio. He had a great sense of humor. We sat at the grill with another family and had a blast.
