It was absolutely delicious, customer service was also amazing I was so happy to find that there was a vegan restaurant because it's hard to find good vegan food out there

At work today minding my own business and was offered what turned out to be the absolute best chocolate chip cookie I have ever tasted in life. There’s no way it could be vegan!!!!! I can’t wait to try more deliciousness. Get in contact with Ms Jessica Mack for your meal preps!!!!

I searched for this location for over 45 min I assume this business is closed ? I don't understand why Yelp would have these numbers listed and they are all off

I was going to try this restaurant out for lunch. I like vegan food and wanted to give them a try. I'm only giving this restaurant a 1 star review because the owner was apologetic after the fact. I understand being a new restaurant, but don't advertise things you don't have. I asked for a bottle of water, they didn't have any. I ordered a vegan burger and fries. They didn't have fries ?. I ordered mac n cheese instead. My co-worker ordered her food. We were in our lunch break. We were told the food will be ready in 15 minutes. Soooo about 40 minutes passed. I asked how much longer for our food. Now get this, you won't believe the answer. I was told they had to send someone to the store to get some of the items we ordered ?. What!!! They should have just told us they didn't have the items in the first place. We could have ordered something else or just left. I told them, "Y'all have wasted our lunch break." This whole time we were thinking our food was being prepared. No one told us anything. ? So very unprofessional and inconsiderate. So we were going to wait for someone to grocery shop and then wait for our food to be prepared? I nicely asked for a refund. I will definitely not be going back.

Had the incredible luck to find this place on my way down to Tampa for work on a Tuesday and hit damn it was Taco Tuesday at Southern Vegan and I had the best plant based tacos I've ever had. From the incredible cheese that tasted like real Mexican queso to the jalapeño and garlic chikin and steak I was blown away. And 2 for $8.00 I felt like I was robbing the place at that price. I enjoyed it so much that I went back in and grabbed 2 more tacos to eat for dinner. My only regret was not getting a picture. Stopping back in on my way back! Keep doing whatcha doing cause it fire!!!

BUY AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION, HORRIBLE SERVICE:I am visiting Macon for work and this place is the ONLY all vegan restaurant in town, so naturally I don't have a lot of options. I order quite a bit in my first week and would've been there every day but they are closed on Mondays and Saturdays with VERY limited hours on Friday and Sunday. I ordered so much they remembered who I was every time I called in to place in order. I placed an order on a Thursday for 3 items, one of which I did not receive and did not realize till I got back to my hotel. I call the restaurant back and advise them of this and they supposedly wrote my name down so they can remember to comp me that item the next time I could come. Unaware of their limited hours on Friday (closed at 3pm), I get out of work at 5pm and realized they weren't gonna be an option, so I opted to wait till Sunday to get my item. I call in on Sunday and place an order and advise them of my missing item and that I'd like to pick it up then. Their menu for Sunday is ONLY limited to their brunch menu. So, again...I decided to wait till today, Tuesday, to place another order and pick up my item...cause remember....theyre closed Monday. When I advised them that I wanted my item they said "too much time had passed since that day" and that "they had seen me plenty of times since then" and that I should've mentioned it before. I reminded them that they had wrote down my name so they could remember and they confirmed that they did but they wouldn't be able to give me said item if I couldn't produce a receipt......the receipt I obviously wasn't going to have from a purchase I made the previous Thursday cause they assured me they wrote down my name to not forget.IF you want to run the risk of dealing with this questionable business, you have been warned. They don't care about keeping their word, they don't care about good customer service, they will lie to you just to save a few bucks. The service stops after they received their money. IF you still don't care...order away but check the bag or check your receipt....these people can't be trusted.

Such a great little place in every way! We had awesome Philly cheese steak quesadillas and THE MOST delicious beans ‘n rice ever. The counter server was really nice even though it was very busy-she was patient with all our questions. Great homemade sandwich cookies too!

My family was in Macon visiting the Tubman Museum and looked for a vegan restaurant on the Happy Cow app. We were pleased to find the Southern Vegan Soul Cafe. It was about 15 minutes from the museum and also near I-75. The food was generally good and the portions were generous. The fried coating on the jackfruit nuggets was seasoned so well it tasted just like fried chicken skin. The turmeric rice bowl and collard greens were delicious. The vegan macaroni and cheese was soft and creamy. Hopefully, beverages and a variety of dessert options will be added. We will definitely plan to stop by the next time we are in Macon or heading to Savannah.

$18 for fake meat and old-school nutritional yeast cheese on flat/soggy toasted white bread (no other items on there) and a few fries. And it took about 40 minutes. Vegan mac bears no resemblance to its namesake - strangely more like a pasta salad of mostly lemon juice and mustard, I'd guess. Breaded fried jackfruit chicken sandwich was better. I've eaten at hundreds of vegan restaurants, including 3 of the Soul Vegetarian restaurants (Atlanta, Tallahassee, and Chicago) and I've had over a dozen vegan m&c dishes, so I'm not a stranger to the genre. I always go in wanting to like and support vegan restaurants. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

It is always comical for me to sit back and watch how blaKKKs treat Black males. Jason Black ... AKA "The Black Authority" talks frequently about these types of blaKKKs. Shout out to my man, Brother Jason. From the second I walked in this place I knew I was dealing with a room full of kkkoons with attitudes. I like to support Black-owned businesses. So, every chance I get, I give one a try. But what I frequently find is that blaKKKs who run and work in these businesses don't know how to run a business and don't know how to treat Black men. They wrinkle up their faces and show an attitude as soon as you walk in the door if they don't detect that you are a kkkoon like they are. White supremacy has bleached their domes so much that this is the standard of the day for these types. This place is no different. I visited this place on a Friday around lunchtime. As soon as I walked in I could sense that the people behind the counter were "off". Both the blaKKK male and blaKKK female had attitudes and did their best to prove it. I ordered a meal and was charged $30. I was not greeted. I was not thanked. I was not treated with respect in any way shape or form. But these same blaKKKs went out of their way to treat every white person who came in the door better than they treated me. So, I'm sure the few white people who come here will love that. I've seen this type of kkkonish behavior over the course of a lifetime and I am used to it at this point. I just laugh to myself and shake my head. You never know who you are mistreating when they walk through your doors. If these blaKKKs REALLY knew who I was and the type of influence and resources I had, they'd be tripping over themselves. I like to fly below the radar. Those who deserve it, I promote them and increase their business and dollars. Those who don't, I write a review like this and don't reveal myself and my financial resources and influence. My only reason for even bringing it up is to set the tone for what I am about to get into next. I ordered and asked questions about the menu and drinks and the blaKKK woman behind the counter was barely knowledgeable and able to answer my questions. I asked what flavors of lemonade she had. Instead of checking (because she CLEARLY didn't know), she told me "I can't see from here". Ghetto, kkkoon tactics. I asked what sides came with my meal. She pointed to the menu on the counter and I ordered based on that. After ordering an $18 meal, I ordered a small smoothie. The price jumped from $18 to $30. Completely ridiculous even at a time like this. I went and sat down to wait for my order. While sitting down, I noticed that both the blaKKKs behind the counter were standing around talking to people while one woman was in the back cooking. People were coming in to pick up orders. Their orders weren't ready. People were coming in to place orders. The options were limited. You would think that would mean these orders would get prepared faster. NO! They were not! After I had been sitting there for about 40 minutes, the blaKKK woman turns to the white couple who came in after me and told them they were out of the item that both of us ordered. A well-run and professional business would have known beforehand and would have told people as soon as they placed their order what they had available and what they did not. Not this place. They wait until AFTER you order and pay your money and THEN tell you they don't have it and put you in a position where you have to choose some other item you don't want. That is what happened here and it happened to SEVERAL people. I arrived about an hour AFTER they opened so it can't be that they ran out. They just never had it in the first place. After waiting another 20 - 30 minutes, the blaKKK woman bought my food, placed it on the table in front of me, and walked away showing her maximum idiocy and stupidity. I picked up the bag, walked out the door, and threw the food in the garbage. I won't ever go back to this pla
