We had the absolute best Valentine’s Day experience at Texas Roadhouse in Macon — and it was all because of our incredible server, Collua Newton.
On one of the busiest days of the year, Collua never missed a beat. The restaurant was packed, yet she handled everything with confidence, grace, and a genuine smile. From the moment she greeted us, she made us feel like we were her top priority. That level of attentiveness on Valentine’s Day is rare.
Our drinks stayed filled, our food arrived perfectly timed, and she checked on us consistently without ever being intrusive. She knew the menu thoroughly, offered excellent recommendations, and managed the fast-paced environment with true professionalism. You could tell she takes pride in her work.
What truly set her apart was her personality. She was warm, engaging, and authentic — not rehearsed, not rushed — just naturally exceptional. She didn’t simply wait tables; she elevated the entire dining experience.
Texas Roadhouse is incredibly fortunate to have Collua Newton representing their brand. Her professionalism and personality are top tier, and she exemplifies exactly what hospitality should look like. In fact, she should absolutely be considered for corporate-level advertising or brand representation. She embodies the Texas Roadhouse spirit in a way that feels genuine and memorable.

My wife and I have the worst meal we’ve ever had out. She ordered smothered chicken, which was like rubber. I ordered a 12 ounce ribeye that was less than a half inch thick and full of gristle. Ask for medium rare got it like shoe leather. Our server was wonderful, but the food was terrible.

We arent huge chain restaurant people but our kitchen is getting renovated so we've had to branch out. Ive got to say, this Texas Roadhouse always delivers. It is always busy but they have it down to a science to efficiently serve guests. Even on our take out orders, I've been impressed by the care put into our dining experience. The food is always cooked with quality. Its by far the best Texas Roadhouse I've been to.
The food was delicious. Update- the food was still amazing. The staff is always helpful. Hats off to the waiter, manager and the cook. What an amazing job y'all do.
I never write negative reviews, so this says a lot. This was honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. I asked for my drink in a to-go cup and was told no, even though the cups they were using were visibly dirty. The attitude and lack of care were unbelievable. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We stopped in for lunch and used a Veterans Appreciation coupon. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about. I ordered my steak medium-well and it came out overcooked. We had asked for a visible line of pink, but both steaks were more on the well-done side and a bit dry.
Service was also less than stellar. Our waiter was polite, but he seemed distracted and spent a lot of time talking with coworkers instead of checking on our table.
Overall, the experience was marginal. It wouldn’t be my first choice for a steakhouse based on this visit.

The rolls are heaven and steaks are really good. With just the rolls you will be really full! We did wait a little longer and it was very frustrating. Asked helped and Kyah did not hesitate to take our order even if shes the assigned server to our table. She made our dining experience a better one. The front desk staffs too are very approachable too.
