I visited The Bear’s Den for lunch today 2/11/25 and had a disappointing experience. We wasted our money today on this food .I called in my order at 10:30 AM, requesting it to be ready by 1:30 PM. However, when I arrived, my order was not ready, and I found myself waiting in line while others who placed their orders after me were served first. When I approached the cashier to inquire about my order, the response was less than professional; I felt dismissed and unacknowledged. To make matters worse, when I finally received my food, it tasted old. I encourage management to improve their order handling and customer service to enhance the overall dining experience. Attention to food quality is also essential. I hope my feedback leads to improvements in the future.

It's just always good, southern food.place is clean.had memorabilia from minor league baseball framed on the walls.diffeteny vintage pics of Ted Williams when he played at Luther Williams park.loved the antique framed jerzee from the minor league team that was in macon.it was unique in that it had a thick, sturdy a zipper concealed behind the buttons in front and had the buttons as well but it could be worn as a light over coat or windbreaker. Also it had a play draw by an artist of Pete rose sliding into third base on a dramatic play.i didn't know those guys played there made me think there must be many more big names that did also play there that time is trying to forget .it seams that baseball wad aloy more popular back then.i knew that, but its easy to be caught up in modern busy lives and forget that fact

Dine in closes at 3pm so take out is available only. I ate in the car (hotel wasn't ready). Ordered the cheesy baked spaghetti in collard greens. Collards were mildly bitter like turnip greens and spaghetti was fair..no color to the tomato sauce and no cheese. Kind of sweet and needed seasoning. I will try a different dish next time before I decide if it's a go or a no. Attractive and clean.

Honestly southern good cooking. They have a revolving menu based on the day of the week. I suggest looking at the menu before going to the carry out to keep the line moving. The lasagna is delicious, and I also love their sides. You can pay with your phone or a card.

The food was amazing. Had a customer buy us lunch from here and truly enjoyed it. I had meatloaf, Mac and cheese, broccoli casserole and corn bread. Everything tasted so good. It didn't need any seasoning added at all. My husband had the fried chicken, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and roll and he said it was really really good. Will definitely be visiting again.

Really enjoy this place. Home cooked style food. Service was great. Very friendly and welcoming. Surprisingly as busy as it was, being lunch time, had no problem getting a table.
