The Hummingbird, or "The Bird," is a fantastic spot in downtown with a rustic charm thanks to its wooden floors, classic wooden bar, and exposed brick walls. The staff are always friendly, and the owner is often there, ready to chat and making everyone feel welcome. They host a variety of events like live music, trivia, and karaoke, and there’s even a great outdoor seating area with its own bar for added convenience. The dim lighting inside adds to the cozy vibe, and the dartboards are perfect for a fun night out with friends. With amazing prices and a great atmosphere, this place is a must-visit!

Didn't eat here so no food review. The music and vibe here is wild. Before we visited Macon we heard it was quiet and most of downtown is closed by midnight. Well that couldn't be farther from the truth. Cherry st was rocking well past 2 am and the Hummingbird was one of the spots to be at. If your looking for drunk shenanigans, well this is your place.

Best staff in downtown Macon! Drinks are beyond fairly priced and the atmosphere is perfect. Dart tourneys, trivia karaoke live music this place really does have it all. If Dahlia is working behind the bar then you’re guaranteed to have a kickass night!

Cool place for a cold beer. Lots of old memorabilia in the place, on the walls, everywhere. Friendly staff. Haven't tried the food if there is any but the beer on draft was cold.

The door lady is on a power trip. She must be related to the owner or is the owner herself because she would not last at any other bar. She would be fired for unprofessionalism anywhere else. Myself and my friends enjoy this place for the atmosphere, the live music, the friendly bartenders, and the darts, but recently multiple times when we have been in there this lady has been on something. When it is time to close she starts to pitch a fit about 5 minutes before 2. We get it you want to go home and we are making our way to the door everyone is but you run a bar you have to expect people to use the restroom because idk doesn’t alcohol make you have to pee? So tell me why this lady when my buddy was in the bathroom for awhile got in my face and told me that “she did not care I was going the wrong way” when I just wanted to check on the guy. I also witnessed her ban 2 girls for 90days at 1:58 for running to the restroom really quick, and she got in my buddies face when we lost a member of our party and he stuck his head in to ask had she seen her say it was “not her problem”. Typically I’d say that this was an off night but those event happened over the course of multiple nights. I get you’re trying to get out of there but as long as no one is still standing around drinking and they’re making their way out the door maybe get off your high horse this attitude doesn’t happen at any other bar in Macon maybe follow their example.
