The Hummingbird, or "The Bird," is a fantastic spot in downtown with a rustic charm thanks to its wooden floors, classic wooden bar, and exposed brick walls. The staff are always friendly, and the owner is often there, ready to chat and making everyone feel welcome. Didn't eat here so no food review. The music and vibe here is wild. Before we visited Macon we heard it was quiet and most of downtown is closed by midnight. Well that couldn't be farther from the truth. Cherry st was rocking well past 2 am and the Hummingbird was one of the spots to be at. If your looking for drunk shenanigans, well this is your place.
Best staff in downtown Macon! Drinks are beyond fairly priced and the atmosphere is perfect. Dart tourneys, trivia karaoke live music this place really does have it all. If Dahlia is working behind the bar then you’re guaranteed to have a kickass night!
