Any time I visit Macon I stop at Tommy’s for donuts. My joke is that I’ll drive up from Florida just for a Tommy’s maple bacon donut! There is none like it anywhere else. Tommy’s is real baking — not shipped in and thrown in the oven. A real gem! I bought donuts for the team at my former workplace. They were ecstatic.
If you’re searching for the family breakfast table, then stop here. Tommy’s Bakery & Cafe will fulfill the bit of nostalgia you might be missing. When you walk in, you’ll recieve a genuine “good morning, how ya doin” from the table full of locals. Then greeted with a heartfelt smile at the counter. An array of fresh made donuts, cookies and muffins also greet you at the counter. I knew it felt like home to this Florida girl; there’s a Florida boy in the kitchen....
Loved Tommy’s!! Great donuts and friendly staff! Went with a friend and her father for breakfast while staying at a campsite about 15mins away. Often think about these donuts and how much they restored my love for donuts!
