The food is much bigger than the outside appearance. The catfish sandwich has just the right amount of crispy. The blackened tilapia is very good. Get the baked potato and fried tomatoes as sides. The wings are tiny but plentiful. Also try the buffalo fried shrimp. Great flavor. A nice spot for the locals; the service is with a kind smile.

Polly's Corner Cafe is a wonderful place for casual, inexpensive dining. I got the fried oysters. They were awesome.

We used to like to stop here on our way to Florida. This time things were different. We were traveling with small children and asked for a booth. The waitress was seating us and then the manager, or someone, told her we could not sit there. We were then seated at a very small and crowded square table. We then ordered our food. Burgers all around. Two asked to sub Fries for onion rings. Waitress said no problem. Came back a few minutes later and said she was told there would be an upcharge of $2 per person. A basket of onion rings is only $4.75. When the plates came, there were 3 pieces of onion rings on the plate. Burgers were not like they used to be. Tasted like meatloaf. Kids wouldn't even eat them. Waitress was sweet. I asked it there was new management, and evidently Polly sold the place. Too bad. We won't be stopping by again.

I normally love coming here when o am in town but this visit was the worst. They give you good portions. The shrimp dinner comes with a decent amount for the price. Tonight our onion rings were cooked with burnt oil. When we mentioned it to our waitress and asked if they were going to replace them she told us that she did not think the manager wanted to give us more. Hmmm. When the food came the hush puppies were raw and we had to send them back and the fries were soggy. I will try them again. This is not the norm here.

Quick stop on our road trip to Florida. I wanted a homecooked meal on the go and decided to come here after finding it on Yelp. It wasn't too crowded for a Saturday night. Seated ourselves. The waiter was okay. She recommended the red snapper special which could be grilled or fried including 2 sides. I had the combination tilapia and sautéed shrimp. Side salad was premade... lettuce, one red onion slice, saltines, a side of cheese and ranch dressing. The food was subpar, not very well seasoned nor was it hot once it arrived. The hush puppies were over fried and greasy. $30 bill for two meals. This place was a miss for me. I don't plan on returning.

Cool little spot. Fried shrimp is awesome. Classic home town restaurant spot. Worth a visit.

You can't go wrong with their fried shrimp lunch special. Delicious sweet shrimp, hush puppies are great, and yummy sweet potato fries. Served in real plates, not styrofoam anymore ! I think they have new owners. Give them a try.

Visiting from CA and had a local recommend a place for lunch. (Thank you Eric from Wells Fargo) We had the shrimp plate and everything was delicious. My favorite part besides the shrimp was the hush puppies and the hummingbird cake. If we are ever back in GA I will definitely eat there again. Friendly service proved southern hospitality is a real thing. Thank you.

It was very tasty. I had the Ribeye steak with a half order of fried shrimp. It comes with two sides. I chose cheese grits and fried green tomatoes. The Ribeye steak was very big, thick and juicy. I "think" the restaurant marinates the steak in Worcester sauce and then grills it. The shrimp were very large as well. The breading on the shrimp was too thick in my opinion. The cheese grits were very good. The fried green tomatoes were also good. The dining room is very very tiny. The waitstaff were very friendly. The pricing was reasonable overall unless you get a steak. The steak will significantly raise your bill. I will definitely return in the future.

Prices are decent, but the seafood (fried shrimp) are not the same quality as Jim Shaws. Shrimp with fries and house salad was $13.95. Got fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were delicious!

Hole in the wall. I had seafood platter. Catfish, tilapia, shrimp, oysters and sides were salad an broccoli. Jessica was great. Food was Awsome!! The food was fried, but great. I'm not a big eater, so I left with couple oysters a tilapia and 4 shrimp. Definitely a place to check out. Funny how least suspected place having such good food. I'm definitely coming back!! Jessica makes it better.

When I walked into the dining room, I wasn't sure if it was a restaurant or a retirement village. Now, I certainly have nothing against the elderly, but seeing so many of them concentrated in one place should be a key to any diner as to what kind of food you can expect - mushy and/or flavorless. I ordered the "buffalo shrimp" and a clam chowder. The chowder came out first and was completely devoid of any flavor at all. Once I added far more salt than any human should ever consume in a week, I was able to choke some of it down, but it was just not good. The "buffalo shrimp" came out next and was just battered and fried shrimp with some Tabasco sauce unceremoniously poured over the top of them (but I have to admit, I'm not sure if there is a ceremony for pouring Tabasco sauce over fried shrimp). There was no flavor in the batter or the shrimp. It was like their chef was expertly skilled at extracting flavor from ingredients...and then completely tossing them aside, leaving you only with something lifeless and lukewarm...and topped with Tabasco.

Shrimp Trio is phenomenal. Grilled and sautéed are my favorite of the three, but I've got an uncle that stops by anytime he comes through town for "the best fried shrimp ever." Also, the ribeye is better than any steak I've had in Macon, and for far less expensive. And the service is fantastic. Check it out.

We stopped in for a quick bite on the way home, not expecting anything spectacular. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. They had the best fried green tomatoes I've ever tasted (and I've eaten them everywhere) and everything else was top notch as well. HUGE portions--there was enough left over for both my kids to gorge themselves on when we got home. Best of all, the food was piping hot. We'll definitely be back.
