Ordered 2 orders of the regular sized seafood gumbo and sadly there isn’t much seafood inside. Disappointed because it taste like someone spilled Thyme in it. Very overpowering taste of thyme. Not good at all.

Met my sisters at the Marietta market Square and found this gem. I love New Orleans cuisine and Cafe Bourbon Street did not disappoint! I had shrimp Po boy and beignets. The owner and his wife were absolutely adorable. They were so professional and friendly. I will definitely be back.!

As a regular, Who ever manages or owns this restaurant does a poor job of keep and hiring staff. I’m sure people quit because the pay isn’t high enough and these ladies are always working alone. Food is good. Square is good but I consistently see one person working. Oh and I come a different days and times.

I’m not normally compelled to write reviews, but Cafe Bourbon Street really put a damper on a meal out with the family.
The service was painfully slow - we waited 30 minutes for a shrimp po-boy and some fries and then they forgot our soda. I waited for 5 minutes to catch the attention of a staff member to hand me a soda.
Our shrimp po-boy looked amazing, but the overdone, nearly burnt, coating fell off and was insanely salty. The bun was completely dried out and we just threw it away. I’m not saying it maybe waited too long to be served to us or something - it was inedible. The only reason for 2 stars was the Cajun fries were OK.

Food is always good, service not so much. Waited almost ten minutes to get my order taken.

It wasn't terrible but I expected a lot more. We ordered Cajun tenders, Cajun fried shrimp, and fried catfish. Each of these plates tasted like they were coated with salt-free seasoning. Everything was fresh, tender, and crispy, just a little less flavorful than I prefer.

There were some young people working that weren't very hospitable and seemed spaced out/annoyed with their customers.

We also ordered some churro beignets that I personally was so excited for. They were hardly warm and tasted old :(

I'll give the other location a chance and try some different menu items but I give this one a 3/5.

The food was so delicious. First time trying it and it won’t be my last. I had the gumbo and catfish etoufee. Great portion sizes. Had enough to take home for later that evening. The beignets were delicious too. We had the strawberry ones. If you’re in Marietta, try this place.

The Truth Is Hard

We finally got to eat here after seeing ads on tiktok. Im not gonna lie it was pretty horrible. The fish was salty and tasted like mush, the po boy was like eating slop between bread, and the beignets need to be taken off the menu. Please dont bother responding. Unfortunately, we have already researched the (Owner's) responses. We dont need to hear from non-business minded individuals. Thanks. (GO TO THE OTHER LOCATION)

I convinced my son to take me back here because I absolutely loved their gumbo, even though the customer service wasn't great on my last visit. Today, I ordered the gumbo, Cajun catfish, and beignets. I even complimented the cook, telling her she has a beautiful smile and should show it more. Her response? “I know.” Then she served me a burnt Cajun catfish fillet.

Unfortunately, that was the final straw. This will be my last at this location.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time today. I don’t have any complaints about the food. It’s fine. However, a woman working in the back had her baby standing on the counter, jumping up and down. She was holding him up with one hand while handling food prep things with the other. This baby was standing on the counter in the food prep area. He was the age to be in a diaper. No matter how clean you keep your baby, this is unsanitary. And has to be against food safety and child safety rules.
I will not be able to eat here again.
