Based on the reviews I was really excited to eat here. The cashier was very sweet and attentive with the order and the restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. I got the rib lunch and was super disappointed by the ribs - they were very dry and tasted like they came straight from chef Mike. The fried chicken was okay but not anything to write home about. My wife got the chicken tenders ($16 ??) which were unfortunately very small and dry. We hoped to redeem the meal by trying the brownie, which looked mouth watering in the reviews, but I am sad to report it was inedible. I have never not finished a brownie in my life until now. It was so dry and flavorless that not even the ice cream could make it edible.

Great experience! Worth a stop on our way to florida. Super clean, lovely employees and food was great. Cornbread was like a cake!
Only recommendation would be to fix the women’s bathroom so that the first stall lock can be used.
Would definitely come back if we are in the area.

Everything I've tried so far (chicken tenders, slaw, mac and cheese, cornbread) has been delicious. That and their decision to cook with beef tallow are the reasons I love to keep visiting this spot. The people who work here are also friendly and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes southern cuisine.

This food is literally to die for!!! I got the 4 pc tender with Mac and cheese and the Mac and cheese IS the best thing on planet earth!!! They even gave me an extra tender so that made it wayyyy better. The seasoning is perfect as well as the coop sauce and the biscuit is so soft and buttery. The chicken there is crispy and juicy and taste so good with the coop sauce. I am not joking when I say the food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Perfect for when you are starving or hangry. The environment is clean and nice and the people working there are friendly and nice. Overall the food here is amazing and so is the place. 10/10 I would strongly recommend 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

This food was simply DELICIOUS I got the 1 meat 3 sides, man I tell you what , that fried chicken was crispy ,seasoned just right. nice big piece of cornbread that was moist Mac and cheese was good coleslaw was good .even the seasoned fries were good I sampled off my lunch companion's plate who and collard greens and yams
and the greens were tender but not over cooked and the yams were good also
If you want a plate of just simply Good food

Pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant serving good southern cooking. I had Fried Chicken with red beans and rice, and corn bread. That meal comes with my drink all for $11.50. Best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time at a reasonable price. I will be back.

Family owned business with delicious southern charm.
The staff were friendly and the food was good! I will definitely be returning. They use beef tallow not seed oils which is more sustainable for the environment.
There’s also a drive thru.
I had the rib combo and added three sides: greens, Mac and cheese, red beans. Comes with cornbread or a biscuit.

Very excited to try southern cuisine in Marietta, especially considering it wasn’t too far from home. I was actually about to do buckets of chicken, but then something dawned on me to check what the bad reviews were saying (bless the hearts of the truth tellers)! The main concern reviews stated was amount of salt in the chicken. So instead of me getting the bucket, I bought 1 piece, tenders and fries, and Mac n cheese. Ok. The truth be told, the chicken was SALTY! I was hoping the owner addressing the issue according to their feedback fixed the problem, but so far no. The Mac n cheese was different soupier consistency very very al dente noodle, but I actually didn’t mind it. Tenders were good, not as salty and I’m assuming that is because it’s not brined and I liked the fries a lot… I liked that battered affect it had! Hope the seasoning gets better! For now I’ll have to stay away in order to not increase my blood pressure at any given moment…

All I ordered was fried okra b/c I’m a vegetarian and end up getting food poisoned. There definitely was some type of cross contamination. They need to wash their hands and dishes after handling meat.
