Dave Poe's has to be one of the worst barbecue joints around. The meat was dry and flavorless, drenched in a sugary sauce that seemed designed to cover up its poor quality rather than enhance it. The sides were equally disappointing—watery coleslaw and soggy, lukewarm fries that tasted like they’d been reheated one too many times. To make matters worse, the atmosphere was anything but welcoming, filled with loud, redneck patrons more interested in shouting across the room than enjoying a meal. If you’re looking for good food and a decent dining experience, don't go near of this place.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Dave Poe's BBQ, and it was an experience I’d rather forget. The food was utterly disappointing; the ribs were dry and tasted as if they had been reheated from last week, while the brisket was so overcooked that it was nearly inedible. To make matters worse, the service was just as bad. Our server seemed disinterested and forgot our drink orders completely, leaving us parched for what felt like an eternity. The overall atmosphere was chaotic and unwelcoming, making it clear that this establishment doesn’t prioritize quality or customer satisfaction. I left feeling frustrated and regretting the decision to dine there.

Where do I begin I've eaten here 3 times. The consistency & quality is there. The food is absolutely delicious. This is the best Bbq I've had in a very long time. The owner was friendly as well as the staff.

1st time customer on Sept 7th, 2024. The location doesn't stick out or call to you, but if you're looking for amazing BBQ and food of all kinds, you'll be glad you stopped in. The lady at counter was very knowledgeable and gracious enough to sample us a few items we were curious about. I can see us finding something new and delicious every time we return. Good find.

Best BBQ In the Ga moved here 3 years ago and have tried a few BBQ places and this one is by far the best. Clean, great taste and great service over all the best around town.
Most genuine people. Great food, even better human beings. Would definitely come back with friends.

For this place to be voted one of Atlanta’s Best for Barbecue, it was disappointing to say the least. We ordered the St. Louis style ribs, smoked wings, tater tots and fries. The lady who took our order over the phone sounded pleasant, but upon entering the establishment to pick up the order, there was no greeting and the lady who did finally come to the register wasn’t friendly or pleasant at all. Another patron asked twice for sauce and she ignored him. A young man from the back assisted him instead. The ribs have potential..just a tad more seasoning. Didn’t bother using the sauce as they didn’t need it. Overall, I’ll never come back due to the service alone.
