The people seemed nice but it used to be El Nopal and the food was good and people was in there alot but i don’t know what happened after them because the food they gave me was just not even thought out i guess. I’ve never recieved Cheese dip in a To go box but they gave it to me today and it spilled all over the bag , i just wanted everything separate and mentioned to the Girl that i was a picky customer!? idk what was goin thru they mind

Meh... nothing to write home about. Refried beans were good...not the usual glop like other places. Shredded chicken quesadilla was ok, but needed salt. No other flavor in it.

GREAT food!! Everything is made fresh, everything is homemade, and so delicious; I was in during lunch, so the restaurant was not busy, but the food and service are great!!

This used to be El Nopal almost 2 years ago, which is now located off of 575 exit 11 Sixes . The owners moved the location unexpectedly . It’s now Called Nuevos Amigos Cocina Mexicana.

Decided to give this Mexican restaurant a try as I love my Mexican food. It must just be starting up. As of today, VERY quiet. Only 3 other people in here when I entered. The ladies room was one very small room. Please check to make sure there is toilet paper in there before you begin, ladies. There was not any in there when I went in there. Had to let the young man serving all guests (who was very polite) know. The chips (I have read in other reviews) appear to be 'home made'. They are quite hard, unfortunately. They have a salsa bar in which you chose your flavor and heat - which is great for folks like me who medically cannot eat anything hot. The bonus? They have sour cream on there, too. No charging for "a side of sour cream". Yay! I ordered from the menu (in which they have both English and Spanish menus ... which is pretty cool) the shredded chicken flautas. It was served with rice, beans, and a small amount of lettuce, pieces of onion, a slice of tomato, and two slices of avocado. Both the rice and beans were very good. The flautas were super hot. Be careful! I dipped mine in sour cream to cool them down on top of adding flavor. Super good dish. But for those who like to venture out, there were dishes a bit more authentic. Other ingredients I saw on the menu were things such as cactus, lamb, and tongue. Yes ... tongue. I'll pass, but it may be for the next person, but definitely not me. Enjoy your food.

Might have been good if anyone was there. 5:50 on a Saturday evening and the parking lot was empty. Sign in the window said OPEN. Lights were on, but the doors were locked. Don’t get to this side of town often, but stopped in due to the good ratings. Won’t make a second attempt.

My wife and I went there for lunch on a Monday and the restaurant was not busy at all Which made us think twice about dining! The restaurant has very little Ambience and is not very up-to-date And they are not serving alcohol there... Yet! we were already there, we took a chance on it. the menu was surprisingly different from most Mexican restaurant. There were many varieties of Mexican Cuisine along with very affordable options! The service was friendly and the food was delicious! We enjoyed the varieties of salsa at the salsa bar. Where you can get different salsas without being charged extra! The nacho chips they use on all their dishes are fresh deep-fried flour tortillas which Makes this restaurant a go-to destination for a delicious affordable experimental and fun Mexican dining experience!!!
