While traveling, we stopped in Smyrna to gas. We were getting hungry and since we had several hours of travel left, we decided to grab a bite to eat. We checked around and decided to have dinners at Folks Southern Kitchen. It was a good decision. Folks is not fancy, but has a nice homey feel about it.
Country fried steak and gravy. You might not be po any more but still so southern cooking good. I've been eating at Folks( formerly Po folks) since about 1976 on Peachtree and. location in Chamblee. It's not the same as it was "back in the day" when they first opened. I used to LOVE Folks, and are there all the time. Now, it's just ok for every now and then, but not on a regular basis. Although the service is good, and they go out of their way to please you, it's still just ok. I WILL go back again, as we have a Sunday brunch group, and one of our members really likes it, but I don't choose this place when it's my week to decide where we...
