We wear here all the time and love it. We have always had excellent service and the food is wonderful. The shoyu chicken is my favorite. This place is really a step above anything else in the area. Highly recommend!

We went to find a nice place to spend some time on a Saturday night and decided to give Gibney's Tavern a try. It's located in the Avenue West Cobb, where Aspens use to be many years back. This was a very pleasant experience for us. Lots of room and different spaces, a couple of fireplaces (inside and out), a spacious and well stocked bar. It would be great for groups and parties. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Really friendly staff. Kaya waited on us and really went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you!We have now added Gibney's Tavern to our list of go-to places.

My friend and I had a blast. After the holidays and family, we both needed a place with good drinks. The apps and drinks were wonderful!!!

Online order. Arrived after 25 minutes as directed and they couldn't find order. Manager disappears in the back and the host begins putting in my order they found online in the system. Had to wait 20 minutes for my food, no apology from manager. Get home and my burger is raw. I can't believe they would serve a burger like this... Had to cook it myself!

We had an excellent experience with our waitress Gabriella. She was attentive and our drinks were always filled. We had the gnocchi and one of their pizzas. Both were delightful. The Bianco pizza was rich but not overly greasy. My only suggestion would be more garlic. The gnocchi was soft and the pesto was complemented by the tomatoes. We will be back!

I simply don’t understand. We waited 60 minutes for a table. Fine…we are a party of 6 with no reservation. We get seated, we wait 40 minutes…no one comes to serve us. We are having fun as a table, it’s Saturday so ok, no harm, no foul. I go to the hostess and let her know we haven’t been served. She apologizes profusely and says she’s someone will be right over. 20 minutes go by and no one comes over. We finally get a text saying the Walk-ons table is ready (that we thought we had cancelled because they said it would be an hour). Ok…so now guess we are going to Walk-ons. I then wait, standing by the bar, for 24 minutes to close our tab at the Gibney’s bar. The bartenders were bonkers busy so I feel bad for them. However, this was a truly awful experience on top of several very average experiences at Gibney’s. We were SO excited when y’all opened. Y’all have totally disappointed us and wasted our time. Here’s the thing…the employees were working SO hard. Something is amiss and the owner or manager either not there or doesn’t care. I’m happy to be a part of the solution so reach out if you want honest input. Y’all should be awesome so let’s do this!!!

Went for the food and we weren't disappointed. Food and service was good. The front of the house staff really has a great attitude. They clearly care and strive to take care of their guests. The Blbar was pretty busy when we walked in. There was an older crowd gathered around the bar, not really my scene, but it didn't take away from our overall experience. We got the southern dip and chips. Good appetizer.I got the fish and chips for my meal and they were really good. The coleslaw and tartar sauce was hot when it hit the table, but it was still the best fish and chips I've had to date. I wish it came with cocktail sauce (I like it with the fries), but I will just order it with it next time. The coleslaw was tiny but it was a generous portion of fried and fish. This place is definitely deserving of a return visit. The minor things were outshined by the stellar service and great quality of the food.

While we had reservations for a month for a party of 20, verified the day before, they were not prepared and this was a Saturday night. They did not have the requested section ready and had given it away, took a half hour for the first round, hour and a half for the second round of drinks, and an hour for appetizers/meals that were ordered at the same time as the second round. The poor server was given no help and had to handle multiple large tables by himself, bartender was overwhelmed. After asking for the manager 3 times to figure out what was going wrong, the manager never materialized until we asked a random employee and they claimed to be the manager at the time. So either no one relayed our request, or even the manager was so busy they couldn’t actually manage. While they were apologetic, it was too little too late.Calamari was dry and tough, but by the time it had come out, hunger had overrode the want to send it back for a replacement.Cheese curds were excellent.Pot pie and Shepards pie was decent but the top crust on the pot pie could have been left in the broiler a bit longer to be crispier and a bit hotter.Pizza is decent flavor and definitely New York Style.

Saw a prior review that Gibneys had made changes to their menu so we checked it out. They did! Prices now are more reasonable and they have more tavern type selections. We went at 5 and sat at the bar. After seeing the lunch menu we really wanted that type of food for an early dinner. We were advised by the bartender we could order off the lunch menu regardless that it said 11 to 4. I had the large bowl of chili. Was as good as my wife’s. My wife had the personal pizza she loved it. The manager/owner welcome us personally and welcomed our input. We will be coming back soon & often.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. I never bothered trying it based on previous reviews but they have apparently made changes for the better. The food was great, fair prices and great service. Enjoyed the fish and chips with truffle fries and the fried cheese curds were so good! We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. As a rule i do not eat any kind of chili. With that said i took a chance on the Nachos with chili. To my surprise this dish was outstanding! The chili was made to what i imagine is perfection! The tomatoes, lettuce, and most importantly the chips were all fresh and delicious! I will eat this chili again, i know this because i ordered 2 containers to go!

It took 25 minutes to get out just the drinks. The appetizer came out before drinks . I went to bar to ask for water and he was rude and did not give me a water because I was sitting at a table already. Ive never been to a restaurant that took so long to get food. Watch out for the tips on check, if using a card. Doesn’t show the tip included on check till after it’s ran. I left a cash tip because I didnt know that the tip was going to be taken out. So the waiter got a double tip, and he knew. Food was pricey. The cheese and toppings slid right off the pizza when picking up. Burgers are under cooked. The atmosphere is very nice . But don’t plan to go back .

Terrible food, terrible service. Went with my family tonight, only because every other restaurant in the Avenues was packed and had a long wait. Gibney’s was practically empty and we soon found out why. We started with an order of calamari and fried pickles as appetizers. Both were battered beyond recognition, and dry and chewy and flavorless. The rest of our meal was also awful. The Greek salad came with balsamic vinaigrette (????) and was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The salmon was dry and the mashed potatoes were bland and lumpy. Also, we were informed that none of the pizzas on the menu were available because the pizza oven was at their other location in Atlanta. I can’t even wrap my brain around why both locations are sharing a pizza oven. We could never find our server when we needed something, and we waited so long to get our check that my husband walked around the restaurant and couldn’t find anyone except for the bar tenders.

When here for a business meeting. Had amazing grass-fed beef steak with garlic mashed potatoes and flavorful asparagus. Very open floor plan yet cozy. Had a nice bar. They even had cornhole. Will definitely go back for a repeat visit.
