I sadly came in at the end but I still received great service and the owner was a true gentleman upon me leaving. I will happily honor him asking to leave a nice review as I got home and tore my oxtails, white rice and cabbage up. I could not have asked for a better meal to end my day. Would go back since I missed the patties and desserts

We were in GA for soccer and picked Jamaican for lunch over the chain restaurants. We are so glad we did! We had a large jerk chicken, a large curry chicken, 4 plantain orders, 2 bread orders, and drinks. Everything was excellent and plenty for 4. Everything makes you feel like you are in Jamaica!

This was my first time going to this restaurant. I ordered oxtail, rice & peàs, & collard greens. The price was fair and everything was amazing! This is the best oxtail dinner that I've had in a very long time! I will definitely be a regular customer. Can't wait until I come again.
I’m disappointed in the quality of my food my rice is hard as if it’s not fully cooked and the macaroni tastes like something I ate from my school cafeteria. The food is usually good but today is

FOOD IS--'UNDERCOOKED/OVERPRICED!I really hate Paulees Place is closed, there are no good Carribean food places in the area now!
I was looking for a new Caribbean spot to try and I found this place, saw some pretty negative reviews about the place but still tried it. And too my surprise it was one of the best Caribbean restaurants I ate from. I was so shocked how delicious the food was. I ordered oxtail and stewed chicken. The oxtail was tender and had so much meat on it and it was a lot and well seasoned. The rice and beans were cooked perfectly and the cabbage was good but have a weird taste to it and oily. But I still ate cause it was good. The stewed chicken was fall off the bone good. I really enjoyed the food. It’s a 9/10. Shoot I forgot to mention the price. The price was really great the best I have actually seen in a minute. Large stew chicken with large oxtail and two drinks I think ? it came on yo $53. That’s awesome price for the portion of food you get.Highly recommended it and I shall return.Parking: Lot of parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: You will need to take stairs, for they Is no elevator.

Great oxtails, very tender & flavorful, wonderful plantains, & sides. It was generously portioned & well priced. I was passing through Atlanta on business for a few days, but I highly recommend Golden Tropics & will definitely swing by again on my next trip to ATL.

Not much to the place and you may miss it if you don't know it's there since it's on the 2nd floor.Food and service was excellent!Ordered j*** chicken and wanted Escovich Fish, but they were out so they talked me into the brown stew fish. Asked the Chef to add some spice for me and he hooked me up nicely. Sides of rice and peas, cabbage and collard greens were on point too.Give it a try!

Ordered oxtails. These are not oxtails, they are neckbones. Neckbones aren’t even on the menu so this was intentional from the time they were cooked. They were good, I would just prefer to get what I asked and paid for! They wrong for this. Third pic is clearly a neckbone.

We just love this place, the portions are huge, the great Caribbean taste is off the chart, the chef Steve is a gracious host thank you for giving us a piece of home Love the character of the location, going up the stairs to the spot is not that unusual if you have been to Jamaica as their restaurants and j*** spots in much different locations then this. Great job we will be back
