12/10 you won’t be disappointed😌
I came in specifically to buy the salmon Alfredo, but was told they didn’t have it. So I decided to order two large platters instead. Since one of the sides I had last time wasn’t good, I politely asked to sample a couple sides—just enough for a fork—before choosing.
I had also just convinced two people who were about to leave to stay and order food. Despite that, I was met with attitude and told to “just buy it.” Another worker came from the back and spoke to me rudely, and the person who was originally helping me switched up and started co-signing the negativity. Very unprofessional.
I really try to support Black-owned businesses, but customer service matters. The food might be good, but how you treat people is what they remember. Sadly, this left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively.
Me and my boyfriend went in to see what they had because we had not been here before but we wanted soul food. The older woman working asked us if we were ready to order, we said “no we’re still trying to decide”, as I said, we hadn’t been there before. We were trying to look up pictures to see what the food looked like since their website wasn’t working. Again, we were asked “are you ready yet?”. We responded “no not yet”. Why did the lady for a third time ask us “do yall know what yall want now or yall just sitting there?” Me and my boyfriend looked up confused because we were genuinely just indecisive on what we wanted. She then proceeded to say “what are yall really doing in here?” Immediately my boyfriend asked if it was an issue that we were sitting while trying to decide but then said “it’s alright, we’ll leave”. The expression on the lady’s face was very unwelcoming and because of this interesting & quite weird interaction, we will not be back to try the food.
We stop by going back to Sc the food is delicious and them yams and greens good I got oxtails pasta good .
I ordered their oxtails and for $30 I got a large amount of rice and then 3 oxtails covered in gravy.... totally not worth it for that price even though I did like the flavor... I also ordered a 4 wing plate and the wings were small but my mom enjoyed it and liked her rice and gravy.... for this being my first time I may not return since the amount of what I want is so small....
I just left the restaurant and I’m sitting in the parking lot outside chowing down. This food is amazing😩 Owners were so kind, place was clean, yall GOTS to try this

Visiting in town and Googled restaurants near me. My friend wanted Soul Food so we decided to try this restaurant; we were well pleased. We ordered a lot to choose from and eat on for two days. We order fried chicken whole wings with rice and gravy and kale greens, turkey wings with mac n cheese and candied yams, and oxtails with cabbage and collards. The candied yams were not too sweet and paired greatly with the mac n cheese. We loved the kale better than the collards, though both were good. Might mix them next time. Fried chicken was seasoned just right. Only suggestions might be to try to limit the grease when pouring the oxtail gravy over the rice and add some green leaves to the cabbage; it was all white. And those little cornbread muffins tasted like home but wish they were bigger or maybe give two.
Overall we were extremely satisfied. Service was great and atmosphere was fine since this is a to-go spot only. We would go back!
Wheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp.

I am not happy. I have been wanting to try this spot for awhile and I am not impressed. I ordered baked chicken rice gravy and yams. The yams are from the can. I know how Bruce’s taste and these are that. The chicken is so dry that I can’t eat it. And $8 for potato salad is wild. I also this the chicken should come with the gravy and rice and 2 sides. Not come as a side
