Harold's Chicken & Ice Bar

I've been to this location twice before with no problems but, this experience was HORRIBLE! Our server was pleasant enough but, her service was lacking. Our order was wrong, she fixed it twice and it was still wrong and came burnt! Whenever we needed anything we had to call her name because she was sitting in a booth with the manager eating and drinking. She never checked on us, not once! Our drinks were watered down! And, to top this bad experience off, a 20% gratuity was added for horrible service!!!! I'm sure folks will continue to patronize this establishment but, my experience was underwhelming to say the least. I will not return!!!

Gave us the menu and we sat there for 30 mins the whole time watching them walk past us and acting as if they didn't hear us... So we moved to the bar and I loved the bartender (small boho knotless braids) she was great and fast with it... I ordered some okra and it came out like it had been sitting back there for a while... Anybody that eats okra knows how fresh fried okra test coming fresh out of the grease lol but yeah that wasn't it... The first time I was there it was amazing but Lord not this time... And I boxed it up like I was about to go home and eat it 😂 smh

The wait time for a simple lunch is unbelievable. Staff does not care and is standing in the back on their phones. I am guessing the food is decent but I will never know because a 45 minute wait for food is unacceptable. Btw, we are the only customers in the building.

The chicken was old, partially
dried out, as well as salty. At Harold’s you usually have to ask them for salt if you want it. I didn’t want it, but my food was salty af! It was grossly overpriced for Harold’s. The coleslaw is nasty, bc they changed it. It tastes spoiled and weird.

Hate when people pass things on, but new generation doesn’t maintain the previously established excellence. I’ve eaten Harold’s my entire life and I just made a note to self to not eat anymore, even when I go home. I’m putting Harold’s on pause.

One final note: if the prices and policy changes on the weekend, which is goofy af, that should be loud and clear so there’s no surprises. They charged me almost $25 for 4 small ghetto azz chicken wings and fries, smh.

Food was OK. Fries were good but overseasoned. Catfish was OK. Intetesting texture and batter was seasoned ok. Drinks were pretty terrible. Friend had a strawberry margarita and it was very sour with no taste of strawberry even though there was a strawberry it. I had Harold's Pear and it more sour than anything. Faint taste of the pineapple juice and vodka. The DJ was fire however the music was too loud and I struggled to talk to the person next to me and could not hear the person across from me at all. Our waiter was not very attentive. The hookah coals were hot enough. The biggest issue was the charges. There was a surcharge for unknown reasons. Overall not a great experience except the DJ.

The worst place i could have went to watch the super bowl. First server we received started trying to fight and cursing out another server while greeting our table with a ankle monitor on. Then we got another server ordered our food that took over a hour and half to come out. When trying to find management to address the issue he was actively drinking at the bar and did not take care of our food. I was going to buy a bottle and get a section but after this horrible service decided to not and sat outside, when i got another server that attempted to charge me for a alcohol i did not request and then argued with me when i had only been drinking one thing the whole night. The service is horrible. Its very unprofessional and unacceptable. Please do better and hire better,

I ordered the Chicken Philly sandwich which comes with fries. The food was cooked well as were the fries, but the bun appeared to be an extra long hot dog bun not a hoagie or typical sandwich bun 🤷. It was unusual, but not dissatisfying. Everyone one of us (5) are from out of state (WA, AK, KS & PA). All our food was good, southern comfort and only one of us couldn’t finish.

Our server was quick, friendly and explained the menu. She checked on us a couple times and refilled our water pitcher without a second thought. I’m certain if any of us come back down here we’d visit this place a second time.

Just walked in with my son and his baseball team. Thought we were going to eat some wings and couldn’t get past the weed smell. Walk to the patio and there is a woman smoking weed. It’s DAYLIGHT and there are kids around. Unacceptable. Really wanted the food, but not the smell or the atmosphere. Do better.

We met some friends already there. Sat down, but the waitress took a very long time to come to the table. I ordered the fried whiting and shrimp combo. The fish was fried entirely too hard, bordering on burnt. I ordered two Maker's Mark Old Fashioneds. The first one came out, not sure why they didn't come together, and did not taste like an Old Fashioned. I asked the waitress to take it back, but she said they couldn't, but she could cancel the second one. I'm glad they didn't come out together at that point. I then took the one I had back to the bar and asked the bartender to just add some sour mix to make it drinkable. I could see why she couldn't make a proper drink. They had a hookah at the bar that she was puffing on every time she walked by it. I'm not sure if she was sharing it with a customer, but it was WHILE WORKING. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I probably won't be going back.

First time ever going here. They ran out of lettuce, and the bartender didn't have any fruit for her drinks. Bartender socialized, which seemed to be her regulars, taking shots with them while others waited for her to prepare our drinks??. Birthday started off rough. Bartender not friendly. The server was apologetic, friendly, and cute. The food was warm. Was not hot and fresh after waiting 29 minutes. Will not return.

Came to this location yesterday to eat and Keon was my server. Now while I will say the food is a bit overpriced, the service made up for it! Keon was amazing, and made the experience worth every penny! Will be back and specifically request his service. Thanks again
