We are SOO glad La Carreta is back!! It's a favorite of my family! Arturo was an excellent server tonight. Food was delicious. I could do without the live music, but everything was great.

I have been a customer of La Carreta for many years, but my last experience was extremely disappointing. I called to place a to-go order and from the beginning the service was very poor. First, they asked me to call later because they weren't open yet, which I understand, but then when I called again, they made me wait several times before finally taking my order.
I ordered three trays paisas, a churrasco and an ajiaco. Despite having clarified several times that I wanted three paisa trays, the employee insisted that it was only one. Additionally, I specifically asked that the cob not be included in the ajiaco soup, but was informed that it was already made. I requested that they at least put it aside for me, but they didn't. Upon receiving my order, the soup arrived with the cob, and the ajiaco was mostly potato and a minimum of chicken, something totally disappointing.
The food arrived incomplete. Of the three paisa trays, only one included the avocado and the arepa. The ajiaco arepa came wrapped in aluminum foil and clearly had remains from another meal, which made me feel like it wasn't fresh. I don't know if they reused it from another dish, but it wasn't what I expected.
When calling to make a complaint, the response was that they were very busy, without a single apology or any attempt to remedy the situation. For $126, the quality of food and service were not worth it at all. I understand that they can be busy, but the way they handled everything from start to finish left a bad impression on me.
If customer service does not improve, unfortunately I will not recommend La Carreta or order from there again. It's a shame, since I had better expectations from past experiences.

This is our favorite spot for authentic Mexican food. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Last year they suffered a fire but they are back and better than ever. We love you La Carreta so glad y'all are back

Very friendly kind staff, feel like friends and family. Their chicken tortilla soup was outstanding, the freshest had in awhile; Yea tacos v fresh, original, and super flavorful filled with varying veggies and spices, a tad more than ud expect, might be cuz of their Colombian leaning. Check out their selection of dozen or so platillos if truly famished. (Won't see near this variety at your avg. tex-mex pad. )
Ask for homemade hot sauce for sure, this place a true find.

The food was terrible, we ordered a tray paisa and the chicarrones were cold and raw, a chicken soup that was water without any flavor and didn't even have chicken, the food was cold. Really a disaster
