I am beyond disappointed. I live 2 miles away and was excited to bring out-of-state friends here, but I ended up embarrassed by the choice. Despite it being a Friday night and not even busy, the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced in Atlanta.

We waited 30 minutes for our first round of drinks and another 10 for the second. It took an hour—and a personal request to the manager—just to get our dinner order taken. To top it off, our charcuterie board arrived, and the bread didn't show up until 20 minutes later.

The most frustrating part? The staff (including three bartenders) were huddled up chatting and on their phones while we were ignored. Even after I complained to the manager, he never once checked back in. Because we were a party of 7, we were forced to pay a 20% gratuity that was absolutely not earned. The food was decent, but between the service and the loud, poor acoustics, it’s not worth it. We won’t be back.

This was my first time at Luca and it did not disappoint! I had the trio appetizer, and then me and my friend we split the pasta dish and shared a dessert and salad. Ella was our server and she was amazing going over the menu and describing it to us. Ella did check with us often to see how we were doing !

First, the atmosphere was great; felt lively and like a place you wanted to hang out at for a while. It's the type of place we need more of in the area.

However the service was a gut-punch. After being seated, we waited for 5 minutes with no server. We went back to the host stand to ask if they knew we were there and a server arrived shortly after that. We ordered drinks, of which I received mine, but we were stuck waiting on my wife's. When we finally flagged down the server and she went to go check on the drink, we watched both her and the bartender go through all the order slips. The server returned to our table to ask my wife what she ordered. Clearly the order was not put in.

Food came out in pieces and spread out. I wasn't very impressed with my order, but both my wife and son thought their food was really good, so maybe it was just me.

Really wanted to like this place, but the service was just too much to overcome. My last thoughts leaving the place were that management needs to step up on training and set some expectations with staff.

It's OK but frankly we expected better. Had the bologanase. Pasta was clearly fresh but under cooked. Sauce was fine if a bit bland. Service was excellent and efficient. Interior is pretty wide open which results in it being pretty noisy.

Yesssss! Finally, a restaurant who makes fresh / organic food, not ordered off a frozen food truck. The owner is from Italy and has done a great job with the menu. We ordered so many things and ate so much and never felt “full” or “lethargic” like how American food makes you feel. So good, can’t wait to go back!!

We came to celebrate my sister’s birthday and unfortunately the experience was rushed and disappointing from the moment we arrived. Our waiter made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests repeatedly reminding us that the kitchen was closing, even though it was only around 7pm and we were told at least five times it would close at 8.

The food was very inconsistent. The tagliatelle with bolognese tasted undercooked and lacked proper flavor, and my tortellini with leek sauce was oddly sweet and very unpleasant. The only highlights of the meal were the ribeye steak and one pizza, which were decent.

The atmosphere was uncomfortable and felt like they were trying to shut down while we were still dining. Staff began picking up lamps, plates, water jars, and even dropped the check while we were still eating which completely ruined the celebratory mood.

We brought a birthday cake, and while the hostess was kind, the waiter Cam simply slid the cake onto the table with no acknowledgment or warmth plus a $30 charge for bringing the cake.(no one told us while making the reservation)

Overall, this is not a place I would recommend for celebrations or special occasions. If you do come, make a very early reservation otherwise expect to be rushed out. We won’t be returning and would suggest others find a better spot to celebrate.

I very seldom post restaurant reviews because when I look at them I never find them consistently good or bad. The experience at Luga, however, was so disappointing that I felt compelled to submit a review. My first clue that I was in for a underwhelming meal is when the server asked if we wanted some “complimentary” bread. What restaurant does this? Especially at an Italian restaurant. Bread is always provided and never pointed out that it is complimentary. The Arancini appetizer was easily the worst I’ve ever had. Small and flavorless. Same with the sauce that accompanied it. I’m convinced that they were frozen and not prepared by the kitchen. The ragu on my pasta was overcooked giving it a slightly burned flavor but at least it had flavor. In contrast, my wife’s pasta had no flavor whatsoever. I can’t figure out how a restaurant can produce a sauce totally void of flavor. The prices? Way too high for the amount & quality of the food. My plate had about $3.00 worth of food on it for $22.00. My wife’s even less for $25. An enormous profit for the restaurant. On the plus side, the drinks were good and the server was very attentive. If you want to pay $50/person for that be my guest. I won’t be returning.

I wanted to live this place but we didn’t even like it. We ordered appetizers, pasta and salads. The dishes lacked sauce, flavor and quality. It is a shame. You are better off at American Pasta or Osteria.

We visited on a Saturday. Busy. Got seated without reservation.
Ordered from fritti section. Rice fried balls.Good flavor. From primi which includes the pasta with no protein. It is supposed to be first course. Caccio and Peppe blend. And tortellini with a lime zest cream no foam. Taste decent not superior. Big portions with lack of presentation. If add protein it could have been a meal. For Secondi, which includes the protein we chose salmon which comes with Brussel sprouts. Both fried. Taste was good but anything fried tastes good and shows very little culinary proficiency. Desert. Very mediocre. If you are looking for good Italian this is not it. Save 100 more and try another one.

Food taste was fine. Nothing memorable, but definitely not bad.

The portions are small and the price is big. It’s pasta…you can give more than a scoop. Even my kids were still hungry after. You would think a $25 pasta dish would be enough for a meal but no, you are expected to have spent an additional $40 on starters and salads on top of that to actually feel full.

They have a meatball starter ($18). They said it was decent sized. It was 3 mini meatballs. The frozen grocery store meatballs I have at home are bigger. Again, they tasted good for the 3 total bites of meatballs you get.

The inside ambiance was nice. We only got wine but the bar area seems like it could be nice to sit and socialize on a busy night.

Also, I’m 100% sure all the 5 star reviews here are AI / fake.

Everything was phenomenal except for the food. It lacked seasoning and overall flavor. Given the prices, you expect either exceptional quality/flavor or generous portions, and unfortunately it fell short on both. That said, the ambiance and service were excellent.
