Found a fantastic, super-versatile spot in Mami Taco! This is the kind of place you can keep in your back pocket for almost any occasion. The vibe is lively enough to feel fun, but it's not so loud that you can't have a real conversation, which makes it great for a date or a family get-together. We went with a huge group and felt right at home. The best part? The service. From the second we walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive.
Let’s talk about the food. You HAVE to start with the chips and guac. The guacamole was so fresh and had a perfect little kick to it, and the chips were nice and crunchy. All our main dishes came out looking beautiful, like they were styled for a photoshoot, which is always a good sign! The only small critique is that the mashed potatoes were a bit hard, but that was a minor thing in an otherwise delicious meal.
Just a heads-up for larger parties: we were a group of 10+ and all wanted to split the checks, so it took a little while to get everything sorted at the end. Totally understandable and the staff handled it well, but just something to be aware of if you're in a hurry. Overall, I highly recommend this place for great food and even better service!

Unfortunately, our visit today was a complete shock, and it pains me to write this negative review. We were told the kitchen was a bit behind due to new staff, and we said we didn’t mind waiting as long as the food was good. After waiting for over 45 minutes, what finally came out was unlike anything we’ve ever experienced here. The quality was night and day compared to what we’ve grown to love. • The tortabirria we’ve ordered many times came out on a hot dog bun cut in half, topped with lettuce and tomatoes—completely unrecognizable. It should NOT have tomatoes and lettuce! • The steak street tacos, which originally made us fall in love with this place, were bland, chewy, and flavorless. • We traded the tortabirria for mole enchiladas (a dish we’ve always enjoyed), but the tortillas were dry as the desert and the mole sauce was overly bitter. • To top it off, my garden taco, which should have been vegetarian, came with meat inside!
Thankfully, the margaritas and service were still amazing. Our waiter did everything he could and was kind and attentive throughout. I actually felt bad for the servers, because it’s clear they’re having to carry the weight of the kitchen’s mistakes. But while the service was wonderful, the food itself was extremely terrible.
The most disappointing part was that no manager came by to check on us or the other tables. In the past, management has always been attentive and proactive. This time, there was no sign of accountability. This was such a shame.
I left feeling so sad and disappointed. We don’t plan to return for a while, but we truly hope things improve. It would be such a shame to lose what has always been our favorite restaurant, especially since we’ve tried so many Mexican restaurants in and around Atlanta and none compare.

This was our first time at MamiTaco. I pass it every day going to work and always say I want to stop in sometime. My birthday was a couple days ago and I didn’t get to celebrate during the week so we decided to wait til the weekend so I figured why not try it out? We got there around 2:30 and it wasn’t busy so we were sat immediately. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. Everything on the menu sounded good so I had a hard time deciding 😂 I ended up getting the Quesabirria plate. It came with three quesabirria tacos, rice, beans, and consommé. The tacos were packed full and honestly I could have gotten the plate of two instead of three (I gave one to my husband) the meat was so tender and everything was very flavorful. I also got the Mexican street corn. It comes in a bowl, not on the cob. The picture was taken after I had already mixed it up but the mayo and cheese and stuff was all on top. It was really good and refreshing as well. I left my meal the fullest I have felt in a long time and the amount of food for the money was definitely worth it. My husband got the Birria Burrito and he felt the same way. My mom got the Mango Salmon with mashed potatoes and she said everything was seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back.

Called in and placed a pick up order that was gonna be ready in 10-15min via person who took my order I get to the restaurant in 20 min I walk in go to the bar and was not greeted at all for 4min NOT A SOUL was at the bar customer wise but there’s 2 bartender and 15 other employees when she does finally greet me she brings my the receipt and walks away which makes no sense then never comes back so I have to tell I’m ready to pay so she can bring my food mind you no it’s been sitting and cold this took all of 15 min for a pick order with 15 employees and a manager walking doing nothing and the bar was dirty never again will I spend money at this place when no one is doing a good job it’s sad

Walked in at 6pm on a Saturday. I will say that they were pretty busy. My family was seated while I moved our car. I joined them a few minutes later, after they had been seated. There were chips and salsa on the table when I arrived. After about 10 or so minutes (enough time to read the menu, drink menu, specials and have some chips), we still hadn’t seen a server. We watched a table get seated near us, they moved tables and then a server greeted them with chips and salsa, waters and took the appetizer order for them. After a few more minutes , no one had returned to our table so we decided to leave. Someone spoke to us on our way out, we explained why we were leaving and she rolled her eyes with a dismissive Sorry… We won’t be back.
