Modena Italian Restaurant

The place was smelling like yuck right from outside the door to when we entered. They also had a very limited vegetarian options, which is unlike an Italian restaurant. I would not recommend this for fine dining.

Modena is amazing the food is high quality and always delicious. We come here on a regular basis and have NEVER had a bad meal. I love the gourmet pizza and braised short rib and my partner loves the mushroom risotto and the saltimbocca. Carter is our favorite server, he provides incredible, high end service with a personal touch! Jill has been an excellent addition to the team, she brings a 5 star quality to the restaurant. We really love this place!

Really tasty food and great service, would have dressed better had I known it was as nice as it is. Nonetheless I wasn’t treated any differently; which was appreciated! Steak was delicious and the pasta was on point! Five stars hands down 😎

We live not too far from the restaurant and in the past we’ve ordered only to go. The food has been good. Tonight my husband and I came in and were instantly seated by a wonderful hostess. In short the wine service was good and timely. The salad service was great and timely.
After that we waited 45 minutes for our entree. We had the risotto and the squash ravioli.
Unacceptable. At one point as we sat there waiting, we contemplated and started to order food at another restaurant near by to pick up and take home. FINALLY our food came out. My ravioli was lukewarm at best.
There was never an apology or explanation as to why things were delayed.
Very disappointing Moderna.

My girlfriend of 5 years birthday was this past weekend, so It's a tradition for us to take each other out and experience wonderful dining culture every time one of us levels up in age. So, after sorting through a bunch of potential places, this place intrigued me, and boy did it not disappoint. The atmosphere was ambient, the crowd was grown and mature, the food was top of the line, the wine was amazing, and the drinks were next level. The service was world class. Man, what a wonderful restaurant, and tho we were the only black people here, I didn't feel the least bit uncomfortable, or unwanted. Everyone was having a good time, and the owner and multiple service people checked on us throughout the night. We definitely came dressed to impress, no urban gear, but nice casual date night wear. I can't stress enough how this was such a fantastic experience and I will definitely be recommending this place to some of my more mature friends lol. Excellent excellent experience. Definitely got to run this spot back again.

Man this place really is outstanding. The food was amazing. Everything we had we really enjoyed. Waitress was wonderful, knowledgeable and funny. I had the grouper and my wife had the veal and our friends had lobster ravioli with the tails. We will be back

We dined here years ago and even went to their soft opening and it was pretty good. We decided to stay local and bring a large party assuming it was still a solid restaurant. Unfortunately I regret taking my family and friends here for my Birthday dinner. General consensus was food was very underwhelming, unimpressive and way overpriced for quality of food provided, I will say the atmosphere and service are good. Started with an antipasto misto which was average, Caesar salad had no personality for $12 price point. Ordered Filet rare+ came out over med well, so I was without a plate during re-cook while everyone else had their entree which they did notice and bring out some meatballs to pacify the situation. (Meatballs were ok, again nothing special) Steak was supposed to be 8oz center-cut Filet, meat quality was definitively not what I would consider a prime cut, very disappointing and poorly trimmed for $58, I would steer clear of their steaks. We understand that operational costs have went up and we go above and beyond to support local small businesses and restaurants, this experience definitely caught us off guard and I will definitely revisit and vet any restaurant in the future prior to taking a large party. We have no problem paying for quality and execution so this experience was unfortunate. I realize these things happen in the industry and would like to give the kitchen the benefit of the doubt, wished I would have explored other options on the menu as this restaurant is typically well reviewed. Hope this was the exception not the new norm. I am writing this review in hopes that it will be received as constructive feedback. Hated to know that all my guests for that evening shared the same sentiments.

We went for dinner on a Saturday night, and we had an amazing meal. Every item we ordered was extremely delicious, the wine was great, the atmosphere of the restaurant was impeccable, and Luke gave us excellent service. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I have eaten here several times in the past and the food and drinks have always been awesome. However, last Friday I made a reservation for my 14 people for my wedding dinner. Not only were they able to accommodate all of us, and a baby, but the service, food, and kindness by all of the staff, from the manager Jill, to the hostesses, and the wonderful young man who kept everything straight at our table, Christopher Michael was OUTSTANDING! Thank you so much for making our special day even better!

Randomly decided to try this restaurant and order my food to go. Absolutely delicious!!! The mushroom risotto, the bolognese, and meatballs is what I ordered. Omg! Probably the best Italian restaurant north of Atlanta. I will for sure be back!

Our first time here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff - especially the manager on shift - were kind and accommodating. We didn’t have a reservation and they made it happen. I also have food allergies and they didn’t hesitate to offer alternatives. The food was exceptional.
