The food they prepare tastes like expired food. The fish and wings taste undercooked, and you can smell that they're not fresh.

Great spot for brunch. Wait time on Sundays are long to get a table and for food to come out but the food is really good.
I ordered the Fried Catfish Croissant. Fantastic choice. That fish is seasoned and fried to perfection. I was able to taste my friend’s grits that came with his fried catfish and those grits were absolutely dreamy.
Definitely will come back on a less busy day to try something else on the menu.

Honestly, the sweet potatoe pancakes and the catfish and grits were good where they fell short is the cake. We ordered 2 and the cake is 9.00$ a slice which would be no issue if it was good but I’m sorry but it was the driest stalest cake I have ever seen. The kids refused to eat it. I had to throw it away, this is suppose to be red velvet btw but was hard and pink on top and red on the bottom so I guess it was left out and exposed to air so oxidized red velvet cake as shown in the photo. Hopefully the fix the quality control on desserts.

47 mins for chicken and waffles, egg whites and bacon on a Tuesday morning at 11:30am. Only one other table in the restaurant. No urgency. To go orders seems more important than customers in the space. Been here one other time it was ok, not now. Food was average at best.

I really didn’t want to do this because I don’t want to bash a growing business but please take this review into consideration. I was excited to come here. I love soul food and breakfast and have tried tons of places around ATL and this just didn’t do it. server was exceptional. she actually said “no” when i wanted to order the mac and cheese after i said i was a mac and cheese lover. she was very honest that it wasn’t good. that’s unfortunate and never had a server tell me i shouldn’t get something but i appreciated her honestly and high level of service. however, the biscuits were hard, the yams had little flavor compared to other restaurants. my mother ordered coffee and it had a bright red lipstain on it. how do you miss that on a white cup……… that means it was not only washed and determined to be “clean” but it was left to dry AND put out to use again. so are any of the dishes clean? just a very interesting experience but has the potential to be great if the food wasn’t mid and room temperature. the sweet potato pancakes tasted like box mix. i was so hungry and annoyed i left and got food down the street. hate to hurt a black business but its being hurt anyways because of retention.

This was my second time giving this place a try, and unfortunately, the service was disappointing again. They really need to work on hiring more staff and improving communication between the team and customers. It took a while for anyone to acknowledge our table, and when they finally did, everything felt rushed and unorganized. I’ve also never seen any visible management on the floor, which makes it hard for issues to get addressed. I genuinely wanted this visit to be better than my first, but sadly, it ended up being worse. With a few improvements in service and leadership, this place could be so much better.

Price is absurd. I mean, literally ABSURD.
It’s a. ”plunder the corporate credit card” type of place. It’s designed for groups from work to come who do not analyze value. Good is good but 😂, I don’t think so. Got me once- not happening again

I would give more stars for the food, but I can’t even leave 3 stars for this place. The food is decent, but the place is ran by children. Menu items are always out, and service is always trash. Nobody seems to want to work there. The vibe is always off.

Atmosphere was 5/5. However, food was just ok. The server informed us they didn't have chicken sausage and that it was the only item in the menu that was unavailable. I ordered veggie meatballs with penne pasta but was told it wasn't available. The veggie chicken wrap also wasn't available so I ended up with the Beyond burger. The major turnoff for me was I ordered a latte but was served brewed coffee with some foam. I never saw anyone use the espresso machine. When asked, the server said it was her manager who prepared it. My husband ordered biscuits and turkey gravy, which he said was good, and wings, which needed more seasoning. Waiting for the food was long considering we were the first guests. We went on a Saturday and were the only guests for the first 2 hours, which was unsurprising.

We arrived about 10:45 am. There was NO ONE in the restaurant being served. We ordered a basic meal and it took FORTY MINUTES TO GET OUR FOOD! Remember there were no other customers! Then the food arrived cold! My turkey sausage gravy and biscuits were cold. I asked for fresh hot food and they returned still cold. My granddaughters eggs were cold. The only saving grace was the sweet potato pancakes. They were hot and delicious. I asked the manager on duty what was going on and she said they were having trouble with the griddle and pancakes! Again, no one else was being served and we ordered basic food! It was about 5-6 people in the kitchen and 3-4 servers. We noticed that one of the servers got a HOT MEAL while me and my granddaughter waited. From the time we arrived, ordered and began to eat it took ONE HOUR!!!

I think the customer service was awesome very nice establishment but needs a better cook ! My chicken wasn’t seasoned well and it tasted like it was fried in fish grease. The fish wasn’t seasoned well and it tasted like the chicken. Really disappointed with my food but my server had a great personality and the owner was really nice.

Came at 2pm on a Monday with a party of 8. We were seated immediately… wasn’t crowded at all so that was a plus. Our server was Myriah since that’s what’ was on the receipt she never told us. She seemed a little irritated we were trying to dine in an hour before closing. The wait wasn’t too long for the food to arrive to the table but we all received our food at different times and we understood they close at 3 so the people that got their food 5 mins before closing just decided to take it to go (it wasn’t a welcoming environment) The chicken and waffles was the only thing that was good. The eggs were all visibly burnt, grits had a burnt taste to it as well… the food was a 3/10 we will not be returning. Half of our party works in the restaurant industry so it was extremely dissatisfying the quality of food and service we received. We did request to get the $45 gratuity taken off due to the below average service, food quality and lack of menu items. We still gave her a cash tip of $30 despite the lack of good service. They were out of champagne, moscato, tomatoes on our visit I seen other reviews were they were out of menu items!

Was slow with food order. And slow to check out. Sound easily bounces off the walls and can be a mood killer.
