I treated my husband to breakfast at Phyllis to kick off his birthday, and it exceeded all our expectations! The food and drinks were outstanding, and the staff was incredibly attentive, even giving my husband a special birthday shout-out. It was the perfect start to his day! The restaurant was very clean with modern/industrial decor and a great atmosphere with R&B music playing in the background. The free parking lot was a huge plus as well. We enjoyed a couple of sunrise mimosas, my husband ordered the lobster and waffle while I opted for catfish and grits. The dishes were hot, perfectly seasoned, and left us wanting to try everything else on the menu but we were too stuffed! They have so much to choose from. We were thrilled to discover this hidden gem and highly recommend it! Try it for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Very impressed! I loved the sweet potato pancakes with cinnamon butter. The collards with turkey were a nice side. I'll come back and try the chili for sure. The building is new, light and bright with good parking. The acoustics are not great so it's hard to come with someone who struggles with hearing.
