I typically don't write reviews but felt inclined to do so on this visit. Seed is typically very good and consistent. Not on this visit! Party of 5 two of us had fish. Cod and mahi mahi both over cooked. Very disappointing. To make matters worse my wife and decided to go to Stem Wine bar the next evening (Saturday). We show up and sign on door they are not open because of a private dinner. Nothing on the website stating they had an event that evening. Wasted 20 minute driving to go there and closed. This has happened before. Thinking this it for both SEED and Stem for us. It used to be very difficult even to get a reservation at SEED. Not the case anymore and it shows

The food was just okay. Nothing special. I couldn't believe they charged $44 for 4 scallops that was outrageous Hadn't been there in awhile and don't plan on going back

The food was excellent. The service was attentive but not overbearing. I attempted to make the reservation a little late so the only thing available was the outside patio which turned out to be a good spot. The weather outside was cold but the patio was nice and toasty. The noise level in the dining room was kinda glaring after the relative quiet on the patio.

Freindly as soon as you walk in, great service at the bar with knowledgable and charming staff. Plenty of time to chat and did not feel hurried. Food recommendations from our server were spot on what we wanted and wine recommendations were delicious too. Comfortable, atmosphere and close to home. Long term customer highly recommend

Whenever I've been to The Seed over the years , I've had consistence in : hospitable welcome by hostess, personable and professional wait staff, and no matter my menu choice ... ahh GREAT FOOD. On our most recent visit, ALEX was our waiter. He was terrific as I treated my friend to her return to good health after surgery and many weeks of recovery. What a down to earth good man who spoke so highly of The SEED TEAM ! How about that?! Easy to say, Let's Make Reservations at the Seed!” Conveniently located, takes reservations, great ambiance ( bright open CLEAN), plus good value for HIGH QUALITY FOOD. Other restaurants may be close by, but THE SEED has a set of core values and a team that we consider CONSISTENTLY tops! Tk you to the whole team!

I’m writing to share my recent experience with Seed Kitchen & Bar in Marietta, GA, regarding their New Year’s Eve event today, December 31, 2025. I have a reservation for six at 6:30 pm and called on December 28th to book and confirm details, as I am a vegetarian.

During my initial call, the hostess sounded audibly frustrated and condescending when I asked general questions about reserving for the event. I paused to let her know how her tone was coming across, and she did adjust, but it was an unprofessional first impression.

I then asked about vegetarian options and pricing. She directed me to the New Year’s Eve menu online, priced at $115 per person. While reviewing it on the phone, I noticed there was only one vegetarian entrée, while omnivores had multiple options. I asked:

1. Whether my rate could be adjusted given the significantly limited options.
2. Whether the chef and management might consider adding at least one additional vegetarian entrée.

The hostess said she would pass my concerns to the manager and that I’d receive a call back within 24 hours. Instead, I received a call on New Year’s Eve at 2:45 pm, just a few hours before my 6:30 pm reservation.

The manager informed me that:

* The price would remain the same.
* No additional vegetarian entrée would be added.

When I asked why, I was told it was not the restaurant’s responsibility to encourage me to choose a vegetarian lifestyle—that this was my choice. I found this response dismissive and lacking empathy. Omnivores have multiple entrées that reflect their dietary preferences, while vegetarians have only one, yet everyone pays the same premium price. If dietary choices are considered purely personal and not something the restaurant aims to accommodate equitably, it’s unclear why one group is offered several options while another receives only one.

When I pointed out that I was promised a call days earlier, there was no real apology—only the explanation that the manager had been off work and then busy.

For a $ 115-per-person New Year’s Eve event, I expected more professionalism, better communication, and a more inclusive approach to dietary needs. Overall, the experience felt dismissive and disappointing.

Seed, there is significant room for improvement.

Really great food but honestly overpriced especially considering the portion sizes. I also wish the environment was a bit less crowded/had less tables packed together. The room is a bit too open so it gets loud/echo-y pretty quickly, making it hard to hold a conversation.

Aight dawg this place is pretty legit. The food is good and you can tell the cook actually knows how to do their job. The restaurant is very cute inside and semi-upscale. I would say it's expensive for the portion sizes for sure, but honestly anyone that lives in this area doesn't care about cost so it doesn't matter. It was $90 for two people tho if that helps. I would def recommend this place for like a nice dinner or fancy brunch with friends. All the employees were extremely kind!!! The drink menu is very extensive and the Plate of the Day option sounded really good even tho i didnt get that. There aren't that many menu options but all of the things ON the menu looked RLLYYYYY GOOD. So trust and believe whatever you get will taste decent. If you're into sandwiches and that kind of thing
