Update to the below: the owner responded to my review and said there’s a sign at the cash register advising customers that they charge additional for credit cards. So I was in there again and looked. That is not what the sign says. The sign, in big letters, says “discount for cash.“ Then in smaller letters, it goes on to say that you will be charged extra if you use a credit card. There’s a difference between getting a price and receiving a discount for cash versus being charged more than the advertised price if you decide to use a credit card. I think this sign is deceptive and misrepresents the additional charge. It should also be noted that when I asked for a receipt the last time I was in, I did not get an itemized receipt, just the final tally. As stated below, noting the additional credit card surcharge was based on me, for one of the first times I could remember, being provided with an itemized receipt. I think they need to change their sign, or change their policy, because it’s not completely honest.
For the first time today, I received an itemized list of my purchases. Has any reviewer ever noticed that this market adds on an additional 4% to the bill over and above county and state taxes??? It’s completely unexplained, and I don’t recall seeing anything in the store that tells customers that in addition to the 6% sales tax, they add on another 4%. Not sure why or even if that’s legal without notifying people. But I’m not happy about it. Every single item has an additional 4% added to the purchase price, then the items are subtotaled and an additional 6% is added for the sales tax. In Cobb county, the tax is 6%, which includes county and state. I really have no idea what this additional 4% is. I’ve been going there for months and made numerous purchases - I’ve never received an itemized receipt……. Ask for one next time and you’ll see what I mean.

I ordered my first family meal for the week. The order made 2 dinners for 2 adults and 2 children. Plus my husband and I were able to make 2 lunches out of the soup and chicken salad. The food was delicious and easy to heat up. The sides were small and enough for one meal for a family of four. I will definitely order this again for my busy family of 4 as an alternative to eating out.

This was an unexpected stop that turned out to be a great find and a bag full of goodies. I walked out with 2 different pre-made soups that I cannot wait to taste. Some gourmet crackers and cookies, a chicken salad sandwich and a farro & arugula salad. Wide variety of gifts, jellies and jams, wines, fresh and frozen pre-made meals. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cute place. More than just food; I saw some nice water glasses last time I was there. They also have a lot of good food though, some they prepare on their own, some from bakeries, salads, some prepackaged items that you can find at Fresh Market or Whole Foods, and most of it good quality. Recently had their own eggplant Parmesan, which was good although there was too much breading - the eggplant was sliced very thin so there were more layers of breaded eggplant. Tasted good though. The potato leek soup was also good. I did not like the black bean soup; it had too much vinegar in it, so not only did it taste sour, but it was inedible. I ended up throwing it away.This is a fun little store/grocery store/market if you tire of the same old, same old from the chain groceries. I’ve purchased their prepared foods a couple of times, and most are pretty good.
