Visited at the June 21 Taco festival and ordered birria tacos + a quesabirria. Unfortunately, what we got wasn’t birria at all:
No consommé included (a core part of the dish).
Tortillas weren’t dipped or grilled in consommé fat — just plain steamed tortillas.
No cheese, no crispy reddish crust, and the meat was dry.
Quesabirria came with onions, even though I asked for none.
Only after I went back was I told they were out of key ingredients. Instead I was offered “extra salsa” (just one red, one green, and a small sour cream), which didn’t make up for it.
This didn’t match what’s shown on their Instagram or what birria is supposed to be. Traditional birria tacos are dipped in the cooking juices and grilled on the flat top with cheese, giving them that signature juicy, crispy, reddish-golden crust. None of that was here.
What’s most frustrating is I wasn’t told they were out of essential ingredients before ordering. A simple heads-up like, “We can’t make full birria tacos right now—would you like something else?” would’ve gone a long way. Instead, I paid full price for something that felt like a shortcut version.
I respect the hustle of a small business at a busy festival, but this didn’t deliver on what was advertised or expected.

This place is inside a party store so we would never had found it but we stopped in for caffeine. They make your order fresh and you can tell they care. The man said it’s the best buffalo chicken wrap he’s EVER had!!!
