The staff member in the dining room would not speak in a manner that was easily understood, unless she was mentioning price. The food had sat on the steam table for too long and was dry. I did not feel the need to be constantly told how much the different items cost. This was a birthday celebration and she informed the guest of honor the cost of the meal after I stated it was for their birthday. I was severely disappointed.

If I can give this place a negative I would …been knowing about this place for years.. come from a trini family in the restaurant business so I know what I’m talking bout… food overrrrrrrr price and it was nasty… I don’t know if they got new cooks but the food don’t taste the same… the quanity… it looked and tasted as if it was cooked last week and heated up.. the customer service was so horrible .. like they didn’t wanna be there… it was buffet style we got attitude every time we went up there as if they didn’t wanna give us food… they was a horrible experience.. for that I could of went to chipotle…my trini not so rude …please take this review into thought before visiting this place if it’s your first time …. Not worth the money.. you better off going on YouTube and trying the dish yourself I promise it will taste better

Had higher hopes for a 1st time visit. $28 for oxtails w/rice, cabbage, mac&cheese. Just not worth the money. The oxtails were nice and tender and the gravy was decent but wasn’t giving that “wow” flavor. Cabbage was bland didn’t really taste the carrots and green bell pepper used to infuse cabbage; was a lil undercooked. The lease favorite was the Mac & cheese; forgot to use my eyes to size it up. Lacked cheesiness expected from a really good mac&cheese; should be called Mac& “eeze”; also didn’t appear fresh but probably a couple of days old. Took a 30 minute drive based on a family member’s suggestion but wouldn’t revisit even if in the area already. Just my honest opinion. My homemade oxtails, cabbage, and mac&cheese taste way better than this. To each its own but I can’t see 4.5 stars. Maybe a 2.5

This place is not too hard to find but when you do the food will blow your mind.
I kid you not I purchased curry chicken and dalpuri. The curry chicken is wrink like they have not used lime to wash the chicken and the dalpuri is tasteless. I’m disappointed ? I have to dump all of it. Complete waste of money. Just from the first smell of the curry I’m nauseous, I’m not pregnant. I’m a 50 year old woman.

Very KIND people and the place is homely and peaceful. The food on the other hand is bland. If youve never had trinidadian food youll like it. If youre trinidadian then youll be extremely disappointed. The food lacks salt. The callaloo has too much coconut milk. The dalpuree roti is old and hard. The hype of this place has to come from the celebrities and the people who arent trinidadian and have no clue what trini food is supposed to taste like. If the owner is reading this i humbly ask can you PLEASE make the food fresher and tastier. If youre really a trini you know for a fact this food could NEVER fly back home or in any trinidadian neighborhoods. Thank you.
