This is the best BBQ place I have been to in metro Atlanta. And I have lived her since 2007. Trust me! I throw down in the kitchen and whomever is back there is no joke! Greens cooked with meat with a spice to them, Mac baked with multiple cheeses, fire smoked wings, ribs fall off the bone, and somebody grandma back there baking and making deserts I swear!

Randomly ordered one day and was so surprised that I ordered again during the week to see if it was a fluke or if they were consistent.FOOD: Brisket, macaroni, greens. Best I've had at any restaurant. BBQ beans. Wish I had more beans than sauce. Ribs were a little 'too done'. I didn't care for the super dense cornbread muffin. I preferred the Texas toast.TAKEOUT VS DINE IN: Dine in was the better experience even though I went during lunch. Not a bad wait. Employees were pleasant. Restaurant is clean. When ordering takeout, I've found that your food will sit on the counter for some time before you actually get the text that it's ready.I'll visit again but will stick to the few items I had the first visit.

This place is now called Luckey's BBQ Place, and it is a 180-degree turnaround from the previous owner/management. We visited the BBQ Place once before when it first opened and was not impressed. Therefore, we did not return. However, fast forward to 2022-23, we're in like Flynn because the food is good and just what we needed in this area. Now we can't vouch for the desserts, so try them at your own risk. Also, watch who's at the cash register because we were "accidentally" charged 3xs for our food and caught it before all 3 amounts posted to our account.

We recently discovered LUCKEY'S BBQ and have been back 3 times in a couple of weeks! The pork bbq is moist, and the beef brisket is very tasty, probably beats the pulled pork, but I like pork bbq so it's a tough choice (what a great problem to have!). Homemade cole slaw is smooth, the greens and fries okra are perfect. The brunswick stew is a favorite! Meaty and delicious! Mustard potato salad creamy amd solid. The corn bread muffin, made consistantly, is a little dense for my liking but tastes just fine. The staff are always smiling and happy to see us - of course when they see us they know they've done something right, 'cuz we.keep coming back. They've been open less than a year, but I'm here to tell ya we're gonna continue to be regulars. Y'all should join us, their bbq is the real deal. :)Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggies to choose from.

Descent place with nice staff, but I have to say I was disappointed with the rib tips and the brisket. The tips were dry, with hardly any seasoning. Not too many places can do a brisket the way I like it, and this was one of those places I can add to the can not list. I hope things get better because I truly want to support the business. It will be a while before I go back. I think I will give it some time and see if things improve. Good luck!

I had posted this review to the BBQ website back in August. I just realized it was not on Yelp too. So I'm copying it here. I hosted a birthday party for 50 people at Luckey's BBQ place. What a wonderful job they did. The staff were great in planning the party. And the day of the party was fantastic. The food, as expected, was delicious. In addition the quantities were more than generous. The presentation and the service were very professional. Thank you Corey, Erica, and all for a successful event.
Great BBQ & Great staff. The owners go above and beyond to keep customers happy and great food served. Absolutely love this family owned business.

No more ribs 2 hrs before closing? ????I have been here before under previous management. Tonight, my mom & dad drove 30 minutes from Douglasville, GA to our house, then we drove 15 minutes to get to the restaurant. We arrived at 7:45pm. They close at 10:00. The cashier told us they were out of brisket and we had to wait while they filled some orders to see if they would have any ribs ??. So after waiting about 10 minutes, we asked again, and were told we still had to wait ??. Asked for manager and he did nothing to resolve situation and only made more excuses. It’s dad’s birthday and we all had to load back up in the car and head to Jim & Nicks.

We were in town for less than an hour on 11/16. I phoned ahead and place a larger pickup order. Upon arrival, the very professional and warm young lady at the register was extremely well organized, having labeled each container with its contents. This made food distribution for our group go so much easier. The young lady was polite and patient and incredibly professional. For someone like me who travels along, it was refreshing to receive such wonderful service.That dies not account for the fabulous food. Had a skeptic on board and he was impressed. Wonderful experience all tge way around.

I believe there are new owners. Lovely enough for date night with great outdoor seating. Very friendly and helpful staff. The mustard bbq sauce is so good I put it on the ribs, the already delicious greens and my finger!
