I don’t usually leave negative reviews for small businesses, but unfortunately Windy City Grill earned this one today. The food is fine, but the kitchen was extremely backed up, and the wait staff didn’t keep guests updated on delays. We waited over an hour for basic breakfast food, and if it’s going to take that long, at least offer WiFi so customers can pass the time.
When the food finally arrived, the country fried steak was clearly frozen and soggy, and we even had to wave someone down to get water refills. I have tried this place several times and really wanted to like it, but service, timing, food, and communication need serious improvement.

As always I rate places based on their status and this is a Mom & Pop establishment.
First is the atmosphere. The inside and outside was really clean! I did not go to the restrooms so I cannot speak to that. I did take off 1 star as there were random things out, like in the pic of the bar, but nothing too drastic. Would have only taken a 1/2 but that's not an option here.
The food was extremely fresh! The portions were great, minus the turkey sausage, and everything was brought out really quick. Took off 1 star, again would have only done a 1/2, for the fact that my pancake was lukewarm on the verge of cold and I did not like the grits at all. I believe that they just didn't time bringing the pancake well and I'm not a grit connoisseur so maybe someone likes them. Lastly, I liked the fact that the veggies were fresh and not heavily seasoned. Side note, I believe the pancakes are box pancakes but they were made well.
The staff were really quick, attentive, and efficient. He noticed I stopped looking at my menu and came directly over to take my order. I believe it was only him and the lady in the back cook and my food still came out extremely fast.
All in all I feel it is a great place to try and has exceptional quantity and pricing for an establishment in Atlanta.

TL;DR:
Overall, the food was pretty decent for the price, but do not expect it to be a quick bite.
We arrived at 11:15am and it was fairly busy but there were still a couple of tables open and we were seated right away. It took about 5 minutes for our drinks, however the waitress asked the other two in my party what they would like to drink to which they ordered coffee but then never actually asked what I wanted and instead just brought me coffee. The coffee itself was ok, a little burnt but not undrinkable. Then we waited and waited and waited. It wasn't until 12:18pm that our food arrived (1h 3m). The food was decent albeit quite greasy; I ordered the Italian omelette which was packed full of the listed ingredients and the portions were fairly reasonable as well. The toast was surprisingly very crunchy and the hasbrowns tasted as expected. I would give it a 3/5 for the food to price is reasonable but the service and wait times could definitely use some work.

Service is awful, every time we come the waitstaff is atrocious. We waited 15 minutes and she never even brought a menu. The food is great, wait staff is just garbage.

In the mood for something different. The Texas burger was superb. Far exceeding more recent burgers that I've. My brother had the Thai chicken salad, which he enjoyed a lot. Breakfast (which is served all day) items got my attention, so we'll be back.

Have been driving past this place for ages and decided to give it a try based on reviews. Big fan of Chicago style food and assumed their specialty would be Chicago-style. Ordered a gyro and a Chicago style dog. Gyro meat was packaged style meat and the feta was extremely dry. Dog was okay, nowhere near Chicago style. Grocery-store style ingredients, the sport peppers were gross. Be aware they charge a debit and credit card fee and it shows on the receipt as “tax”. Only advertised on a small sign on the register. First time for everything, this will be my only visit.
I think it was a divine influence that randomly got us here for breakfast. Amazing!!!

absolutely fantastic local restaurant! the breakfast is here is pretty untouchable in terms of quality, flavor, and price. my wife and i love this place.
she gets the western omelet which is FULL of delicious ham, peppers, onions, and cheese. the cooks always put just the right amount of ingredients, the omlet itself is super fluffy, and comes with hashbrowns.
my all time go-to is are the ham egg and cheese biscuits. i csnt express enough how delicious the biscuits are here. always buttery and soft, with just the right amount of crispy outside to make them flakey and perfect. the ham egg and cheese are always perfectly portioned and make for the perfect morning biscuit sandwich.
lastly and certainly MY favorite item on the menu is the fried green tomato and pimento cheese biscuits. yall, its a southern delight that is unmatched. the soft biscuit paired with a crispy fried green tomato and topped with melty AMAZING pimento cheese. THE BEST item on the menu if you dig the down home southern charm.
cant say enough great things about this place. another standout menu item is the gyro omelet with gyro meat and fetta cheese. the skillets are amazing too. i could go on forever about this place, but ill suffice to say, ya gotta check this place out, you wont be disappointed ?

Came here from out of town for a baseball tournament not knowing what to expect… they did not disappoint. The Reuben was AMAZING, chips were very good, as well as the burger and pancakes. Service was slower than anticipated, but considering it was only one gentlemen and one lady running the entire show, I was impressed. Would definitely recommend!

Solid lunch before a kids baseball game. The blue cheese and bacon burger was the right size and delicious. My kids breakfast stuff looked excellent. Prices were very fair and the service was prompt and courteous. I'll be back in soccer season. Also try Pelican's sno balls across the street.
