First time at Willie Rae's and I loved it! My family and I had such a good time. The atmosphere was great! The food was wonderful! The service was amazing! They helped us celebrate my husband's birthday in style. They made us feel like we were the only ones there and I appreciate that very much. Thank you! Fyi- my kids ate the Beignets so fast I only took a picture of the last one that was left.☺️

We walked in for brunch at about 11:30 on Saturday during a festival. Super cutely decorated for Halloween. Me and my husband had such high hopes for this place. No one was at the front and we stood there while servers rushed around saying someone would be with us. Eventually we were sat and no one came. Someone finally grabbed someone else for us. We ordered drinks and food all at once because we already saw they we in the weeds. It was hard to get a refill after that though. At that point we had almost 45 minutes left of parking. It took 35 of those minutes to get our food and it was cold. All we had was catfish and eggs and an order of beignets. The tomato cream sauce was just marinara, no cream. He didn't get the biscuit that came with the meal and had to ask for that to go. Grits were the only hot thing and luckily they were great. We had to leave because parking was expiring. After I left, I realized my $6 iced coffee wasnt made with the caramel and whipped cream and I basically just got black coffee in a cup. The restaurant is also very small for the dining setup, so getting around people is hard.

I came here because of a recommendation but now I wish I didn’t and Typically I give grace to restaurants but the wait was ridiculous.. I was seated at 12:30 .. waitress was extremely slow! food wasn’t ordered until 1:44 when the Food was finally brought out drum roll please.. it was cold and all I ordered was French toast and eggs 😭😭😭😭 I ended up just paying and leaving cus I didn’t want to make a scene but yea the food was mid and the waiter was slow.

Generally, I give a lot of grace to local restaurants. My wife and I have eaten here before and had very average experiences, but today's was definitely the worst. My father in law lives about an hour away and saw this place on Atlanta Eats, and it is all he's been able to talk about since the episode came out. It showed great food and caring managers, but we feel that must have been a show for the cameras. We ordered the Mimosa tower and when it arrived, it was not the 100z of bubbly as advertised and also had mold growing in the spicket. We told our server and she whisked it away and returned it with a refill, but when we used it again, we found there was still mold in it. We ended up settling for a bottle (which we did get charged for).
Our food was also disappointing. My wife's family is from New Orleans, and very careful with the quality of food that they will order since they know it should be prepared and do so at home quite often. The food that arrived didn't look anything like the TV version. The gumbo was bland except for the sausage. The catfish in the catfish PoBoy was good. The whole table's eggs were overcooked. The BBQ was saturated in sauce. No one finished their plate.
Finally, the restaurant had a drain backup and water traveled towards tables where customers were actively eating. It seemed like all of the other customers couldn't get out of there fast enough (including us).
At the end of the day, there are a lot of options on the Square and we can make quality Cajun food at home for a fraction of the price, so I don't think we'll be back.
My advice to management is that excellence is in the details. If you don't take care in everything you serve to your customers, they will not have a great experience.

My husband Frank and I dine at Willie Rae’s Restaurant in Marietta Square every Sunday. Outside dining is very nice under large umbrellas. The food is absolutely delicious and always consistent. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. The owner Tim always stops at our table to talk and our waitress Taco is very sweet. We enjoy dining there so much that we also visit during the week. Definitely 2 thumbs up.

I’ve been to this establishment several times over the past 4 years, since moving to Marietta. The service and atmosphere has always been welcoming. I have had oysters on multiple occasions and they have always been good. My sister, visiting from out of town, and I were looking forward to having some oysters and drinks. It took an unusually long time for the oysters to be served and when they finally arrived they looked amazing - at a glance- large, plump, and moist. However, we were incredibly disappointed. They were tasteless!! I suspect they were frozen which also resulted in an unusual texture. I’ll definitely reconsider having oysters there in the future!

Food was pretty mediocre. Their Parmesan oysters taste like powered Parmesan and nothing else. Service was very slow. Atmosphere is okay if you sit outside but inside is just a regular cheap restaurant vibe.

Ate outside, the service a little slow. Ordered a mimosa & it didn’t come until our food came. We had to ask & wait for silverware. Food was excellent, as we mostly had brunch items. Big portions. The rosemary fries are very tasty. Enjoyed our experience.

We waited 20 minutes to get a beer and 2 mimosas. As soon as we got our drinks our food came and it was cold! We will not be returning!
