Consistently understaffed, never answer the phone for to go orders and the food quality does NOT stack up to what they used to be. Honestly hoped for so much more. Y’all need to remove Eddie’s name from the restaurant, period.

Always excellent food and customer service. I always get the steak burrito wrap and street steak tacos.

This is a reincarnation of the original Azteca Grill which was in Morrow and then in Stockbridge. They are now on Hwy. 155 near I-75 in the south of McDonough. These are the original recipes developed by Eddie Hernandez, who has recently published a cookbook. There is so much to choose from: steak, chicken, seafood. My favorites include carne tampequena, pollo loco, carnitas, charros beans, poblano corn chowder and caper steak. They have a full bar as well.

I visited 10/5 with my husband around 5pm after a long day of running errands. We were able to sit immediately. The food was excellent! I especially enjoyed the shrimp and corn chowder, which was thick and had just the right amount of sweetness. SO GOOD. I suggest to only get a cup if you're having a large entree or you might get too full. I also had the shrimp fajitas and they were delicious, piping hot and well-seasoned. The cheese dip was hot and better quality than many others I've tried. I came in somewhat early and beat the dinner rush so all I can say about the service is that is was great while I was there.

Tasty tuna steak. The St Louis taco was great. Just like St Louis rib meat. Courteous staff. Clean and had lively music.

Glad to see Azteca back again. Long time customer of Southlake location. Food just as good as before. Worth the drive from Clayton County.
The food is really good. A little under staff but worth the wait.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food. I had the burrito wrap thanks to my son Jacob Yon who recommended it. It was absolutely delicious and everyone was so nice. It's a little busy to get in and out of off of 155 but totally worth it.

I liked the chilie relleno. The salsa was good but the chips were stake. It's hard to find real medical food in this area so this restaurant is a step above the rest.

Been a customer of Gus’ for over 20 years. Azteca Grill is clean (100 HEALTH SCORE!) and the food is great. We usually get the chunky guacamole as an appetizer. Also, Gus’ specials never disappoint. If you get a salad, you have to try the honey habanero salad dressing. It’s the best! Dishes to try: Corn Chowder, Waco Chili, Supreme Burrito, Eddie’s Greens, Shrimp Fritters, Miller’s Special....
