I really hate to write this but due to it being my 1st time I had no choice. My sever was great. She catered to every need at a timely fashion as her environment allowed . The food was decent but we had a bug in our Caesar salad that was returned. The ambiance was decent. You could compare it to Chili's or Applebees. The food took awhile to come and on top of that a fight broke out in the kitchen disturbing all guest during dinner. Bugs also were crawling around. We watched as people stomped them while eating and we had to as well. It was not a pleasant experience. Hopefully I can try a different location and it be better.

They tell you when your food will be ready. When you check in, you still have to wait 25 to 30 minutes. They can't be trusted. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody.
Please patronize another restaurant.

My 1st and LAST time coming to THIS Cheddar's. You have locations in Alabama, so I'm familiar with the standards. Food- HORRIBLE.. My Pasta was bland and greasy.. Only thing that was tasty was the hot honey butter croissants(My Fave). Had to beg for refills. Several dirty tables from the time we sat down , they didn't bother them until we were about to leave. I clearly see why there were not about of customers present tonight. Booths dirty.. Silverwares (on the floor) .. Employees unprofessional, playing loud music from kitchen where we were sitting next to.

Came with my family, party of 13, we had to sit at different tables, food was horrible. All the food came out warm. We will not be coming back. Beware!!! There are plenty of restaurants in McDonough that are great. Unfortunately this was not it.

On March 22, 2025, during the 3 PM hour, we waited over 10 minutes for a server, but no one came to check on us or provide an update. We even used the kiosk at our table to request assistance, but it didn’t help. While waiting, we overheard a staff member ask a coworker when her shift was over, to which she rolled her eyes and replied, “3:45 PM.” Given the lack of service and overall poor experience, we decided to leave.

Oooo my good over a hour for our food and took forever just to get a1 really it's behind the counter you can't walk five mins to get it but takes 30 mins to get steaks asked for med well came to us like a brick think they don't know what or how a steak needs to be cooked so will not be going back to this one again so if you are traveling up this way make sure you pass this one.i think checker's can cook the steak better and probably taste better too lol don't get me wrong I love checker's and there food but we don't have none in my state 😞 well long story short don't eat at this restaurant just keep on driving

I am writing to share my recent experience at your restaurant, which unfortunately fell short of expectations. I hope my feedback can help improve service for future guests.
During my visit at lunchtime, the restaurant appeared to be relatively quiet. However, I experienced significant delays, and the service was not what I anticipated.
Initially, I was seated in a booth with my baby in a stroller. Shortly after, the waitress informed me that my stroller was in the way and that I needed to move it. It was perplexing, as the hostess had seated us there knowing I had a stroller. When the hostess returned to offer a different seating arrangement, she attempted to place us in another booth without considering my situation. After requesting a table to better accommodate us, I was disappointed that no suggestions, such as a booster seat, were offered.
Additionally, I ordered spinach dip, which typically comes with salsa. Instead, I received cocktail sauce, which raised concerns about potential allergies. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, her response was dismissive, questioning whether I truly wanted salsa.
Feeling frustrated with the service, I decided not to eat my entree and requested a to-go plate. However, I was initially provided with mini containers. When I asked for a larger to-go plate, I was informed that it was only for to-go orders. After clarifying that my order was effectively to-go since I hadn't touched it, I finally received an appropriate container.
I drove from Decatur to enjoy a meal at Cheddar's, and I left feeling highly dissatisfied with the service provided. I hope you will take my feedback into consideration to enhance the experience for future guests.

We started our trip by first joining the wait list, which was 40 minutes. We went to the establishment and waited an additional 20-30 minutes. The floors were sticky, and our shoes were sticking. When we were seated at our table everything was sticky, and had hairs on it. We asked for it to be re-wiped. This wasn't addressed until my fiance pulled a member of management aside and got assistance. We ordered our food. I ordered the country fried chicken, and specifically told my waitress I wanted the single piece of chicken option. The salad was great. When our meals came out I said to the waitress wow that's a big piece of chicken, I'm really glad I only ordered 1. I had asked for extra white gravy. The waitress informed me they were actually out of it and the gravy on my meat was the last of it. When I cut into the piece of meat it was actually a streak. So I ordered something else, which didn't come until my fiance was basically done with his meal. I wasn't comped for my inconvenience, nor did the waitress apologize for messing up my order. Because of my side salad, the croissant, and onion rings we ordered and the time discrepancy between each portion of the meal by the time I got my new food i had started to metabolize and I no longer felt hungry, so had to pack it up to go. I went to the bathroom afterwards to try to wash my hands, when I crossed through the area where the food came out the floors were wet and I slipped and had to brace myself on the wall. All and all the food was decent, but everything else left a lot to be desired.

I’ve loved the cheddars brand for a long time but whoever is in charge of that place has let it fall from grace with me. The bartender I had that night gave 2 star service and it was on multiples occasions where he forgot parts of my order.
So 3/11 I came and sat at the bar around evening time. After i received my food all of a sudden I saw a roach run across the bar countertop I was so disgusted with that place I paid and left. Hope this review helps to get them back on track. That’s unacceptable in my book and I won’t be admonishing them with my hard earned funds.

The food is actually pretty good. The onion rings and the fried chicken breast and gravy were excellent. However, overall the service lacked focus. It took forever to get refills on my iced tea, then I had asked for a cup of ice and that also took forever it seemed.
