I've lived in McDonough for over 20 years. My wife and I have tried just a few different Chinese Food(delivery)places ever since I've been here and China Star is absolutely the best! We've ordered China Star at least once a Month or the most, 2 - 3 Months for over 20 years and we've only had 'maybe' 4 times where we got something different than what we ordered for whatever reason. I'm still giving China Star 5 Stars. The Food has always been Tasty and Fresh. We've never actually eaten in the Restaurant, only Delivery and maybe someday we will visit their Restaurant in McDonough. We Love China Star!❤️🙏

I’ve been going here a long time. It’s a hit or miss with the taste but they lost me as a customer permanently after today. I ordered noodles. I asked for no carrots. My husband heard me place the order asking for no carrots. The guy repeated it. Well, I gets home and it’s lit up with carrots. I called and they said I had to bring the plate back but I wasn’t burning that much gas to go right back there. So they said “well I’ll give you 10% off next time,” Well I started trying to eat it and it was extremely dry. I couldn’t eat much of it. So, I saved it and decided to take the plate back. When I took it back, the wife said “I’m only going to let them make you half because you ate out of it.” With as much money my husband and I spend there, she tells me that. Not only that, she was slamming drawers and things because she hated to even do that. And with that attitude I definitely wasn’t letting them fix anything for me so I told her just give me half of my money back since you were giving me half of a plate. She was pissed. She slammed the drawer open and slammed it closed. These people are stingy and disrespectful. I won’t ever spend another DIME here. I’m telling my friends and family as well

This restaurant absolutely have the best wings in town hands down!!! So this is an update from my initial review...... they still have the best wings in town, but I'd like to add that the service is amazing. I finally tried other food here as well and I must say, they did not disappoint!! So if you are looking for great tasting, authentic Chinese food PLUS, then I recommend that you definitely give China Star a try.
UPDATE ....... July 13th, 2025........ So I finally tried the Spicy Garlic Wings and OOOOOMG, AMAZING! They just don't disappoint 🥰🥰🥰

The sesame chicken is out of this world! We get chicken lomaine instead of rice and then egg rolls.. we always do delivery and the food is always hot on time and especially delicious! Great job cook Lee , thank you so much!
Take out house fried rice, 8 wings and 2 ego rolls. I stay 5 minutes away. They said order would be ready in 15 minutes utes. It was ready in 10 minutes . The rice taste had minimum meat, musthy and old. I called and took it back. Still the same. They really disappointed me

The food was great! We tried the pork egg rolls, shrimp spring roll, philly egg roll, fried chicken, fries, salt and pepper shrimp and shrimp fried rice. I was pleasantly surprised. I will say the rolls, rice and chicken were not the best I’ve ever had but it was a pleasant surprise to find good Chinese in the area. Would definitely recommend and would go again to try more stuff and to get more salt and pepper shrimp.
